wishes to reserve the right to levy taxation on the salary and emoluments paid in
respect of services performed in Australia to an official of the Organisation who is
a resident of Australia within the meaning of the Australian legislation relating to
income tax, other than:
(a) a person who holds, or is performing the duties of, the office of Secretary-
General of the Organisation ; or
(b) an official who is not an Australian citizen and has come to Australia solely
for the purpose of performing his official duties.

The Kingdom of the Netherlands will not apply articles 5, 26 and 27 of the
Protocol until such time as regulations for the indemnification of Member States
for activities on their territory by the European Organisation for the Development
and Construction of Space Vehicle Launchers, as referred to in the final headquarters
Agreement between the Organisation and the Commonwealth of Australia,
have entered into force for all the Member States. As soon as such regulations come
into force the Government of the Kingdom of the Netherlands will notify the
Government of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland whether,
and if so, to what extent the above-mentioned articles will be applied by the Kingdom
of the Netherlands.
