PROTOCOL 2 ON THE PRIVILEGES AND IMMUNITIES OF THE EUROPEAN LAUNCHER<br />

DEVELOPMENT ORGANISATION (WITH PROTOCOL OF SIGNATURE). DONE AT LON-<br />

The States parties to the Convention for the Establishment of a European<br />

Organisation for the Development and Construction of Space Vehicle Launchers,<br />

signed in London on 29th March, 1962 1 (hereinafter referred to as " the Convention<br />

") ;<br />

Desirous of defining the privileges and immunities which the Organisation,<br />

its officials and certain categories of persons taking part in its work shall enjoy in<br />

the territory of those States, and the privileges and immunities which the representatives<br />

of Member States on the Council and the members of subordinate bodies<br />

shall enjoy, in accordance with Article 20 of the Convention;<br />

Have agreed as follows:<br />

Article 1<br />

The Organisation shall have legal personality. It shall in particular have<br />

the capacity to contract, acquire and dispose of movable and immovable property<br />

and to institute legal proceedings.<br />

Article 2<br />

The buildings and premises of the Organisation shall be inviolable, subject<br />

to the provisions of Articles 22 and 23.<br />

Article 3<br />

The archives of the Organisation shall be inviolable.<br />
