Installing the Software<br />

NOTE: Removing your <strong>GroupShield</strong> <strong>5.2</strong> <strong>for</strong> Microsoft <strong>Exchange</strong> <strong>2000</strong><br />

software leaves your users unprotected against virus attack spread by<br />

infected items. Remove the program only when you are sure that you no<br />

longer require this protection.<br />

To remove <strong>GroupShield</strong> from a Microsoft Cluster Server configuration:<br />

1 On the first cluster node, use the Cluster Administrator to take all the<br />

<strong>GroupShield</strong> resources offline or to move the <strong>GroupShield</strong> group to<br />

another node.<br />

2 Double-click SETUP.EXE, which uses the SETUP.MSI file.<br />

NOTE: If you have modified the SETUP.INI file using the /q /i<br />

parameters, perhaps to carry out a silent install, you will need to<br />

remove these changes in order to use SETUP.EXE to repair or<br />

uninstall <strong>GroupShield</strong>.<br />

3 On the Uninstall dialog box, select Remove All and click Next>.<br />

NOTE: If the services are on-line on the server being uninstalled,<br />

and it is the first server in the cluster, a message is displayed:<br />

<strong>GroupShield</strong> <strong>for</strong> <strong>Exchange</strong> <strong>2000</strong> requires all <strong>GroupShield</strong> <strong>Exchange</strong><br />

cluster resources be offline on the local node.<br />

Click OK to move all resources to the next node.<br />

NOTE: If the current server is the last cluster, the same message will<br />

be displayed, but the server will be unable to move resources.<br />

The Updating System dialog box opens, displaying the message:<br />

The features you selected are currently being uninstalled<br />

The <strong>GroupShield</strong> services are stopped and <strong>GroupShield</strong> <strong>5.2</strong> <strong>for</strong> Microsoft<br />

<strong>Exchange</strong> <strong>2000</strong> is removed from your system. This may take a few<br />

minutes.<br />

If you click Cancel from the Updating System dialog box, a confirmation<br />

window opens. Clicking Exit Setup exits the installation.<br />

The installation process returns the system to the state it was in be<strong>for</strong>e<br />

installation started. Clicking Resume continues the uninstall from the<br />

point it was stopped.<br />
