Installing the Software
2 On the GroupShield ® for Exchange 2000 Setup dialog box, select Remove
All and click Next>.
The GroupShield ® for Exchange 2000 Uninstall dialog box opens,
displaying the message:
This will remove GroupShield for Exchange 2000 from your machine. Are
you sure you want to continue?
3 Click Next> to remove GroupShield.
The GroupShield services are stopped and GroupShield 5.2 for Microsoft
Exchange 2000 is removed from your system. This may take a few
minutes.
If you click Cancel from the GroupShield ® for Exchange 2000 Uninstall
dialog box, a confirmation window opens. Clicking Exit Setup exits the
uninstallation.
The uninstallation process returns the system to the state it was in before
uninstallation started. Clicking Resume continues the uninstall from the
point it was stopped.
4 On completion, click Finish to close the dialog box.

Removing the software from a cluster server
You can remove GroupShield exchange either by using the Microsoft
Windows Installer, or the standard Add/Remove Programs function in the
Control Panel.
You cannot uninstall from a cluster node on which a GSE cluster resource is
currently active. Therefore, before you can remove the software from a node,
we recommend that you remove the GroupShield group.
NOTE: It is important to remove the GroupShield resource from every
relevant disk group, simply taking the service offline is not sufficient.
Uninstall removes all the program files and registry settings created during
installation of GroupShield from the node concerned. (Please refer to
“Uninstall cleanup” on page 40.) When the last node in a cluster is uninstalled,
the GroupShield cluster configuration data is removed.
