Installing the Software
5 On completion, close the Configuration Copier.
You can now use this file to override the default GroupShield configuration
during installation.
Installing the software on a cluster
1 Follow the instructions for “Installing on a single Microsoft Exchange
server” on page 23, until Step 9 on page 24, when the GroupShield Setup
Wizard opens.
GroupShield detects other nodes in the cluster that do not have
GroupShield installed, and prompts you to install it on these nodes.
IMPORTANT: Make sure that you install GroupShield on all nodes
in the cluster.
2 Install GroupShield on the other nodes in the cluster. The process is the
same as for installing on the first node in a cluster.
When you have installed GroupShield on the last node in the cluster, the
GroupShield Setup Wizard opens.
3 In the Setup Wizard, click Cluster to open Cluster Administrator.
NOTE: We strongly recommend that you carry out the process
described in Step 4 at this time. If this is not convenient, you can run
the procedure from the Cluster Administrator MMC. GroupShield
will not operate until you complete this process successfully.
4 Add a GroupShield resource to the Cluster Group containing the
Microsoft Exchange virtual server you wish to protect.
a Highlight the group concerned and right-click in the right-hand
pane.
b Choose New > Resource to open the New Resource dialog box.
c Select GroupShield as the resource type.
d Specify the name for the new resource in the Name field. For
example: GS52.
e Click Next, then click Next again to accept the default Possible
Owners.
f Click Next to open the Dependencies dialog box.
