1Installing the Software<br />
Overview<br />
This guide describes how to install <strong>GroupShield</strong> version <strong>5.2</strong> <strong>for</strong> Microsoft<br />
<strong>Exchange</strong> <strong>2000</strong>. Step-by-step instructions describe a typical installation of the<br />
software, and further in<strong>for</strong>mation describes other types of installation.<br />
<strong>GroupShield</strong> installs using the Microsoft Windows Installer.<br />
In addition to installing the software, the Windows Installer also allows you to<br />
repair a corrupt <strong>GroupShield</strong> installation or remove the software completely<br />
from your system.<br />
You can install this version of <strong>GroupShield</strong> on clustered or non-clustered<br />
Microsoft <strong>Exchange</strong> <strong>2000</strong> servers.<br />
If you have <strong>GroupShield</strong> version 4.5 or 5.0 already installed, you can upgrade<br />
your existing version to <strong>GroupShield</strong> v <strong>5.2</strong>.<br />
When you install <strong>GroupShield</strong> <strong>5.2</strong> <strong>for</strong> Microsoft <strong>Exchange</strong> <strong>2000</strong>, the following<br />
components are also installed:<br />
