Le dichlorobis(tricyclohexylphosphine)benzyli<strong>de</strong>ne ruthenium (0,03 g ; 0,04 mmol ; 9%) est dissous dans 10 mL du même solvant puis est injecté dans la solution par un goutte à goutte lent (5 h 30). Après 21 h 30 on arrête la réaction <strong>et</strong> on évapore le dichlorométhane. Le produit est purifié sur une colonne <strong>de</strong> silice avec l’éluant chloroforme pur puis chloroforme/éthanol 98/2.
