Possible consequences: Death or severe injury.<br />

Protective measures: Never run the pump in swimming ponds. Install the pump at a dry place. The pump<br />

can also be operated at swimming ponds at a distance of 2 m minimum from the water (A).<br />

Installation variants<br />

Figure B: Pump operation in the pond in the filter housing and with connected return flow system (1) at the pump<br />

outlet.<br />

Figure C: Pump operation outside of the pond with connected satellite filter or skimmer (2) at the pump inlet and<br />

return flow system (1) at the pump outlet.<br />

Note: Place the pump horizontally and securely on a firm ground.<br />

Preparatory work<br />

Shorten and deburr the stepped hose adaptors such that the adaptor diameter is identical to that of the hose diameter<br />

used (D).<br />

Assembly of <strong>Aquamax</strong> <strong>2000</strong>:<br />

Operation in the pond (D, F): Screw the stepped hose adapter (7) with the seal (6) on the pump outlet (4). Push the<br />

hose (9) on the stepped hose adapter (7) and secure with a hose clip (8).<br />

Operation out of the pond (G-J): Press in the engagement hooks (10) on both sides of the pump outlet and open the<br />

strainer casing (11). Remove the pump (12). Screw the stepped hose adapter (7) with the seal (6) on the pump outlet<br />

(4). Push each of the hoses (9,14) on the stepped hose adapter s(7) and secure each with a hose clip (8).<br />

Assembly of <strong>Aquamax</strong> Eco 3500, 5500, 8500:<br />

Operation in the pond (D-F): Screw the connection piece (23) with seal (22) on the pump outlet (21). Screw the<br />

stepped hose adapter (25) with union nut (26) and seal (24) on the connection piece (23). Turn the stepped hose<br />

adaptor (25) to the desired position (E) prior to tightening the union nut (26). Push the hose (9) on the stepped hose<br />

adapter (25) and secure with a hose clip (8).<br />

Operation out of the pond (G-J): Disengage the clip (29), press in the engagement hooks (28) one after the other,<br />

then remove the strainer top casing (27). Remove the pump (30). Screw the connection piece (23) with seal (22) on the<br />

pump outlet (21). Screw the stepped hose adapter (25) with union nut (26) and seal (24) on the connection piece (23).<br />

Turn the stepped hose adaptor (25) to the desired position prior to tightening the union nut (26). Screw the second<br />

stepped hose adapter (33) with union nut (34) and seal (32) onto the pump inlet (31). Push each of the hoses (9, 14)<br />

on the stepped hose adapter s (25, 33) and secure each with a hose clip (8).<br />

work on the pump.<br />

Never operate the pump without water flowing through. Risk of damaging the pump.<br />

The pump switches on automatically when the power connection is established.<br />

Switching on (Fig. K): Plug the power plug (15) into the socket.<br />

Switching off (Fig. K): Disconnect the power plug (15).<br />

Note: The pump of <strong>Aquamax</strong> Eco 3500, 5500, 8500 switches off after 10 attempts when the rotor is blocked or runs<br />

dry. Remove the obstacle or „flood the pump“. Following this, the unit can be restarted.<br />
