(e) The right to embark or disembark, at the points specified in the schedules to<br />

this Annex, international traffic <strong>des</strong>tined for or coming from third countries, shall be<br />

exercised in accordance with the general principles of orderly development to which the<br />

Swedish and Swiss Governments subscribe and in such a manner that capacity shall be<br />

related :<br />

(1) To traffic demands between the country of origin and the countries of <strong>des</strong>tination;<br />

(2) To the requirements of economic operation of the agreed services;<br />

(3) To the traffic demands of the areas through which the airline passes after taking<br />

account of local and regional services.<br />

II<br />

Rates shall be fixed at reasonable levels, regard being paid to economy of operation,<br />

reasonable profit and the characteristics of each service, such as speed and comfort.<br />

The recommendations of the International Air Transport Association (IATA) shall<br />

also be taken into consideration. Failing any such recommendations, the Swedish and<br />

Swiss airlines shall consult the airlines of third countries operating the same routes.<br />

Their arrangements shall be submitted to the competent aeronautical authorities of the<br />

Contracting Parties for approval.<br />

If the airlines are unable to reach agreement, these authorities shall endeavour to<br />

find a solution. In the last resort the procedure provided in article 7 of the present<br />

Agreement shall be applied.<br />

III<br />

The airline <strong>des</strong>ignated by a Contracting Party shall have the right of transit through,<br />

and the right to make non-traffic stops in the territory of the other Contracting Party;<br />

it may also use airports and ancillary facilities provided for international traffic. It<br />

shall further have the right, within the territory of the other Contracting Party and on<br />

the services specified in the schedules to this Annex, to pick up and discharge international<br />

passenger, mail and cargo traffic, under the terms of the present Annex.<br />

SCHEDULE I<br />

SERVICES WHICH THE AIRLINE DESIGNATED BY SWITZERLAND MAY OPERATE<br />

(1) Switzerland-points in Germany and/or Amsterdam-Copenhagen-Malm6 and/or<br />

Stockholm.<br />

(2) Switzerland-points in Germany and/or Amsterdam-Copenhagen-Malm6 and/or<br />

Stockholm and beyond.<br />

(3) Switzerland-points in Germany and/or Amsterdam-Copenhagen-Malm6 and/or<br />

Gothenburg and/or Stockholm-points in Norway.<br />

The airline <strong>des</strong>ignated by Switzerland may on any or all flights omit the stops provided<br />

for at certain of the points indicated above.<br />
