Section 5. Miscellaneous Provisions
Article 16
1. Cash benefits shall not be liable to any reduction or to suspension
by reason of the fact that the beneficiary resides in the territory of another contracting
country.
2. At the request of a beneficiary who resides in a contracting country,
the institution in the country of his residence may undertake to furnish benefit
in cash for which the insurance institution of another contracting country is
liable under conditions agreed between the institutions.
Article 17
1. The provisions of the laws and regulations of a contracting country
permitting a reduction or suspension of benefit if the person concerned has
concurrent rights to other social security benefits or is in employment may be
applied to a beneficiary in respect of benefits payable under a scheme of another
contracting country or in respect of employment in the territory of another
contracting country.
2. Nevertheless, provisions permitting a reduction or suspension in the
case of concurrent benefits in respect of the same contingency shall not apply to
pensions the right to which is acquired under the provisions of Articles 11 and 13.
Article 18
If a person in receipt of a pension resides in a contracting country other than
that in which the institution liable for the pension is located, benefits in kind
shall be furnished by the institution of his place of residence on condition that
the laws and regulations of both countries furnish such care to their pensioners.
If the pension is due from one country only, the cost of the benefits in kind shall
be borne by that country. If the pension is due from two or more countries,
the cost of these benefits shall be borne by the country in which the insured person
has spent the longest time in pension insurance.
Article 19
1. For insured persons who were covered by compulsory insurance in a
contracting country before the age of 35, the age of 35 referred to in Article 33
of the Netherlands Invalidity Act shall be replaced by the age of 65, and the
amount of 3,000 florins provided by Article 4 of that Act shall be replaced by
the amount of 4,500 florins.
2. In a case where the preceding paragraph is applicable, Article 372 of
the Netherlands Invalidity Act shall not apply to an insured person who has
