1. The Government of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan does not consider acts of
national armed struggle and fighting foreign occupation in the exercise of people's right to
self-determination as terrorist acts within the context of paragraph 1 (b) of article 2 of the
Convention.
2. Jordan is not a party to the following treaties:
A. Convention on the Physical Protection of Nuclear Material, adopted in Vienna on
3 March 1980.
B. Convention for the Suppression of Unlawful Acts against the Safety of Maritime
Navigation, done at Rome on 10 March 1988.
C. Protocol for the Suppression of Unlawful Acts against the Safety of Fixed Platforms
Located on the Continental Shelf, done at Rome on 10 March 1988.
D. International Convention for the Suppression of Terrorist Bombings, adopted in
New York on 15 December 1997.
Accordingly Jordan is not bound to include, in the application of the International Convention
for the Suppression of the Financing of Terrorism, the offences within the scope
and as defined in such Treaties."

1. Le Gouvernement du Royaume hach~mite de Jordanie ne consid~re pas les actes
de lutte arme nationale et la lutte contre l'occupation trangre dans l'exercice du droit des
peuples A disposer d'eux-m8mes comme des actes terroristes au sens du paragraphe 1 b) de
larticle 2 de la Convention.
2. La Jordanie n'est pas partie aux trait6s suivants:
A. Convention sur la protection physique des mati&res nuclkaires, adopt~e A Vienne
le 3 mars 1980.
B. Convention pour la repression d'actes illicites contre la s~curit6 de la navigation
maritime, conclue A Rome le 10 mars 1988.
C. Protocole pour la repression d'actes illicites contre la s~curit6 des plates-formes
fixes situ~es sur le plateau continental, conclu A Rome le 10 mars 1988.
D. Convention internationale pour la repression des attentats terroristes A l'explosif,
adopt~e A New York le 15 dcembre 1997.
Par consequent, la Jordanie n'est pas tenue de consid~rer, aux fins de l'application de
la Convention internationale pour la repression du financement du terrorisme, les infractions
couvertes et d~finies par ces trait~s.
