Pursuant to Article 25 of the Convention, the United Kingdom declares that it will not
be bound to recognise any agreements made under Article 39, paragraph 2.
Note:
Under the adoption laws of the Isle of Man accredited bodies and the Department of
Health and Social Security perform the functions under article 9 (a) ot (c) of the Convention;
and the Department of Health and Social Security provides the facilities and carry out
the functions in respect of Articles 15(1) and 16(1) to enable Convention adoptions and
adoptions effected by Convention adoption orders to be made.
In addition the Department of Health and Social Security performs the functions under
Article 15 (2) and Articles 17-20 and is responsible for the duties under Aticle 21.

tenu de reconnaitre un accord conclu en application de larticle 39, paragraphe 2.
Note :
Les organismes accr6dit~s en vertu de la 16gislation de lile de Man sur l'adoption et
le minist6re de la Sant& et de la S6curit6 sociale remplissent les fonctions pr6vues A l'article
9, point a A c, de la Convention. Le minist~re de la Sant et de ia S6curit6 sociale fournit les
facilit6s et remplit les fonctions pr6vues aux articles 15, paragraphe 1, et 16, paragraphe 1,
afin que puissent avoir lieu les adoptions en vertu de la Convention et les adoptions en vertu
d'ordonnances d'adoption en vertu de la Convention.
Le minist~re de la Sant6 et de la S6curit& sociale remplit en outre les fonctions pr6vues
