1. You must abstain from any sexual relations (activity) for two (2) days before the test.<br />

2. If the specimen is to be collected at home, keep the specimen warm during transportation<br />

(carry the container in a shirt pocket or in a pant pocket) and go, in the hour following<br />

ejaculation, to the Pathology Lab (laboratoire de pathologie), room 3629-1 at the <strong>CHUS</strong>-<br />

Fleurimont.<br />

3. If the specimen is to be taken at the hospital, please go to room 3629-1 where someone will<br />

show you to a bathroom.<br />

4. You may go to the hospital, without an appointment, from Monday to Friday, to room 3629-1<br />

Pathology laboratory (laboratoire de pathologie), at the <strong>CHUS</strong> Fleurimont. Please bring your<br />

hospital card and the prescription signed by the doctor, (if you have). If not, remember your<br />

doctor’s name.<br />

5. Be sure that you’re full name, date of birth as well as the date and time the specimen was<br />

collected, is clearly written on the container.<br />

WAIT ABOUT 2 MONTHS FOLLOWING A VASECTOMY TO DO THE<br />

VASECTOMY CONTROL TEST<br />

• Spermogram for Fertility testing : 7H30 to 12H00<br />

• Spermogram for Vasectomy control test : 7H30 to 12H00<br />
