23 CHAPITRE 2 Face à des tragédies apparentes, nous devons mettre notre confiance en Dieu, sachant qu’en dépit de notre vision limitée, ses desseins n’échoueront pas. Malgré toutes ces difficultés, la vie nous offre l’immense bénédiction de croître en connaissance et en sagesse, en foi et en œuvres, nous préparant ainsi à retourner partager la gloire de Dieu 9 . Conseils pour l’étude et l’enseignement Réfléchissez à ces idées pendant votre étude du chapitre ou pour vous préparer à enseigner. Vous trouverez des aides supplémentaires aux pages v-ix. • Pourquoi le Seigneur ne nous protège-t-il pas de tous les chagrins et toutes les souffrances ? (Voir pages 13-14). • Étudiez les pages 15-13 en cherchant ce que nous manquerions si le Seigneur ne permettait pas que nous ayons des épreuves. Comment devons-nous réagir à nos épreuves et à nos souffrances? Comment le Seigneur vous a-t-il fortifié dans vos épreuves ? • Lisez le paragraphe commençant par « Certaines personnes… » page 16. Pourquoi est-il si difficile de voir souffrir des êtres chers ? Que pouvons-nous faire pour éviter de devenir amers ou découragés dans ces moments-là ? • Relisez les pages 16-20, en cherchant des enseignements concernant les bénédictions de la prêtrise. Quand avez-vous été témoins du pouvoir guérisseur ou réconfortant de la prêtrise ? De quelles façons pouvons-nous réagir quand nous apprenons que la volonté du Seigneur n’est pas qu’un être cher guérisse ou que la mort soit remise à plus tard ? • Comment expliqueriez-vous les enseignements du Président Kimball concernant la mort d’un enfant ? • Le président Kimball a enseigné: « Face à des tragédies apparentes, nous devons mettre notre confiance en Dieu » (page 20).
