Il n’aurait pas paru incongru que la dessinatrice Amandine Urruty aille piocher dans l’univers fantasque de Rabelais pour trouver un titre à son dernier ouvrage. Mais non. C’est au-dessus du pubis d’un légionnaire, (dans un livre de photos) qu’elle a lu « Robinet d’amour ». Bingo ! Aujourd’hui, le livre sorti chez les Requins Marteaux donne lieu à une exposition à Ombres Blanches. enfantin et répugnant à la foiS C’est d’abord la couleur qui saute aux yeux. Éclatante, de préférence avec du rose, et beaucoup de détails autour. Amandine Urruty, tout juste 30 ans, aime les univers flashy, qui rappellent l’enfance, et les bonbons acidulés. Ses dessins, qu’il faut prendre le temps d’examiner longtemps, pratiquent l’accumulation à outrance. Dans cette jungle luxuriante peuplée de créatures hybrides façon Muppet Show, on décèle de jolis minois à la truffe humide, des poils multicolores, des chevelures lisses agrémentées d’objets fantasques, des groins sexys et griffes rouge vermillon. Les yeux – sa marque de fabrique – sont partout, sur les genoux, sur les seins, sur les robes… Mouillés, presque tendres, un brin désespérés, ils vous regardent sans méchanceté. C’est là, la patte « Urruty »: faire croire à un dessin enfantin, qui se révèle, à bien y regarder, inquiétant, voire gentiment répugnant, sans jamais tomber dans l’agressif ou le dégueulasse. Il y a de l’amour aussi dans ces personnages alanguis, ces couples à tête de castors, ces belles à tatouages qui portent leurs seins en écharpe. « Et lassata viris necdum satiati recessit » peut-on lire en sous-titre de son ouvrage Robinet d’amour. Traduit, ça donne : « elle quitte [les lieux de débauche] épuisée par des hommes, mais non pas repue ». Le ton est donné. Les femmes occupent le devant de la scène, souvent au centre, telle des déesses que regardent d’en bas de petites créatures incongrues : saucisses cravatées ou escargots baveux… loGique additive Armée de ses crayons de couleur – même si pour l’exposition à Ombres Blanches, l’artiste a eu recours aussi à la gouache et au feutre – Amandine semble résolue à se laisser aller à « la logique additive » pour réaliser ses planches. Du genre « castors + saucisses + barbapapa = cool » décrit-elle. C’est vrai qu’on n’est pas loin de l’ambiance fête foraine sur certains dessins. Dans d’autres c’est le rock qui domine. Rien d’anormal pour une jeune fille qui a débuté en chantant (faux, précise-t-elle) dans un obscur groupe de chanson toulousain, s’apercevant rapido qu’elle préférait dessiner les affiches plutôt que s’égosiller dans les caves. Depuis, la petite Toulousaine a fait son chemin, depuis son lit, l’endroit où elle travaille le mieux. En 2008, elle croise la route de Philippe Katerine dans les coulisses de la Star Academy et devient son body-painter attitré pour sa tournée. Aujourd’hui, elle a rejoint le collectif Arts Factory, multiplie les expositions liées à son livre Robinet d’amour, et s’est faite inviter par Pictoplasma, à Berlin et Paris, pour donner des conférences.
