3.3. Recovery of spiked ergosterol:<br />

The recovery of methanol-dissolved ergosterol from spawn was estimated to 75-80%<br />

for both in brown and white spawn respectively, and the recovered value did not differ<br />

significantly (Table 2). However, 90% of recovery of fungal ergosterol was found for Le119<br />

strain.<br />
