Incursion d~ l'armée it~anienne dans le Kurdistan irakien, selon MDM
PARIS, 4 aoGt (AFP) - L'armée iranienne a pénétré mercredi sur 20 km è
l'intérieur du territoit~e du Kurdistan Irakien, dans la région de Raniyah dans
le nord-est de l'Irak et elle bombarde la vallée de Raniyah, Quala Diza et les
villages environnants, annonce Médecins du Monde.
L'association humanitaire précise dans un communiqué, que son équipe
médicale sur plac~ et l'hOpital de Raniyah, seule structure chirurgicale de la
t~égion pOllt~250.000 habitants "sont dit~ectement menacés".
Elle appelle "une nOltvelle fois la communauté intet~nationale, les Nations
Unies et le gouvernement français è réagit~ pour protéger la population et les
ONG tt~availIant SUt' place".
Il y a quatre mois, l'Aide médicale Internationale (AMI) et MDM avaient
été obligé d'évacuet~ l'hOpital d'Azadi où ils étaient présents depuis six ans
è cause d'attaques terrestres et aérienne de l'armée iranienne.
Des bombardements iraniens visent sporadiquement depuis fin avril les
villages irakiens frontaliers de l'Iran. Téhéran accuse des formations de
l'opposition iranienne de menet' des opérations en Iran è partir de ces régions.
Pat~ ailleut~s, des soldats it~aniens ont. effectué I.me incl.lt~sionen milieu de
semaine dans la région de Darbendikhan, è 150 km au sud de Qala Diza, selon le
commandant des forces kurdes dans le secteur.

ISTANBUL (IRNA) - Following
claims by Turkey that
Iran has been giving material
assistance to the opposition
Turkish Workers Party
(PKK) fighting for an independent
Kurdish state, the
secretary of Iran's National
Security Council (NSC),
Gholamhussein Bolandian,
said here Monday that Turkish
officials would not produce
any documents to show
Iran's cooperation with the
party.
He said that despite the
propaganda of the Turkish
mass media regarding PKK's
connection with Iran, Turkish
officials were unable to
produce any evidenee. They
only showed two hand grenades
marked with the emblem
of the Islamic Republic
of Iran, claiming that they
were confiscated from PKK
members.
"The Iranian delegation
presented their conclusive
evidence to Turkish officials
and called the action amateurish,
an aet by the enemies
of Iran, especially by
israel:' Bolandian added.
Bolandian said that the
arms industry of Iran docs
not produce that kind of grenade
and it was typically an
Israeli production. He further
added that it would not be
logical for one country to
givc. arms with its own emblem
. onto opponents of (\
neighboring country.
Bolandian said that the
emblcm of the Islamic Republic
of Iran waS printed upsidc
down on thc grenades
whercas Iran docs not place
its cmblcm which includes,
the name of God, on ammunition.
He continued Ihat Turkish

not belong to thc Islamic Republic
of Iran.

TEHRAN - AFP in a report
last week from Nicosia
accused Iran of bombing
bases of the Iranian opposition
pro-Communist Kurdish
group Komoleh in northern
Iraq but immediately in another
report from Washington
attributed the alleged attack
to the Baghdad
government.
The AFP report from Nicosia
quoted a statement
from the National Resistance
Council, the political wing
of the Iranian terrorist Mujahideen
Khalq Organization
(MKO) as saying Iranian
planes bombed Komoleh
bases 50 kilometers inside
Iraq in Soleimanieh province.
