5. Lorsque les Communautés européennes
ont donné leur agrément, le
Service du Protocole de la Commission
en avise, par note verbale, la
Mission intéressée, ou, par son intermédiaire,
le Ministère des Affaires
étrangères du pays accréditant.
6. Après la notification officielle de
l’agrément, le Gouvernement de
l’Etat accréditant peut rendre publique
la nomination de son Chef de
Mission.
Le Secrétariat général du Conseil de
l’Union européenne publie généralement
un communiqué de presse.
III. ARRIVEE DU CHEF DE
MISSION DESIGNE
a) Arrivée
7. L’arrivée à Bruxelles du Chef désigné
d’une Mission d’un Etat tiers a un
caractère privé et ne donne lieu à
aucune manifestation officielle de la
part des Communautés.
8. Toutefois, si l’arrivée du Chef de
Mission désigné lui est signalée à
temps, le Service du Protocole de la
Commission en avertit le Ministère
belge des Affaires étrangères afin
que les facilités de douane et de police
à la frontière lui soient accordées.

visite et demande d’audiences

5. Once the European Communities
have given their approval, the Commission’s
Protocol Service sends a
note verbale to this effect to the Mission
concerned or, via the Mission, to
the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the
accrediting country.
6. On receiving official notification
of approval, the Government of the
accrediting State may publicise the
appointment of its Head of Mission.
The General Secretariat of the Council
of the European Union usually issues
a press release.
III. ARRIVAL OF THE
APPOINTED HEAD OF
MISSION
a) Arrival
7. The arrival in Brussels of the appointed
Head of Mission of a Third
Country is a private affair at which
the Communities need not be officially
represented.
8. However, if informed in time, the
Commission’s Protocol Service notifies
the Belgian Ministry of Foreign
Affairs so that customs and police
border facilities may be extended to
the appointed Head of Mission.
