They strike up a conversation during which the white man tries to prove to the black man that he – the black man – should be more concerned with questions of racism. The dialogue seeks to analyse certain positions around racism and show that certain motivations are not all that they appear to be. Un homme noir rencontre pendant ses déplacements hasardeux en ville un homme blanc qui colle des affiches appelant à une manifestation anti-raciste. Ils entament une conversation, au cours de laquelle l’homme blanc essaye de montrer au noir que lui – le noir – devrait se préoccuper d’avantage des questions concernant le racisme. Le dialogue tente d’analyser certaines positions autour du racisme, essayant de montrer qu’il y a des motivations qui sont autres qu’elles ne paraissent.

She forces an old servant and admirer to travel with her from New York to Miami, in search of sun and rich men. At the same time, but in a parallel story, a few gangsters make the same trip to do a job. The characters’ paths cross, their stories too. The play was inspired by the stories and certain motifs of the American writer Damon Runyon (1884-1946). Une vieille meneuse de revue, que l’on appelle La Reine, se déplace en chaise roulante, suite à un accident survenu pendant une dispute avec son amant. Elle oblige un fidèle serviteur et admirateur à faire le voyage avec elle de New York à Miami, en quête de soleil et d’hommes riches. En même temps, mais dans une histoire parallèle, quelques gangsters font le même voyage pour monter un coup. Les personnages se croisent, leurs histoires aussi.
