308 PRECIS DU PIED DU CHEVAL ET DE SA FERRURE. Appareils protecteurs. — On les divise en deux catégories : 1° ceux qui sont adaptés au sabot pour en atténuer h 1 choc ; 2° ceux qui sont appliqués sur le membre afin de protéger la partie contusionnée. Parmi les premiers, se trouvent les protecteurs Goyau, Lacombe, Ducasse, et parmi les seconds, les guêtre*, bracelets, bourrelets, etc. Nous allons les examiner successivement.
