History (describe main stages of the development of your organisation)<br />

Centre of the Republic of Slovenia Vocational Education and Training is a public institution active in<br />

the area of vocational and technical education and training. It was founded in 1995 by the Government of<br />

the Republic of Slovenia (the Ministry of Education, Science and Sport and the Ministry of Labour, Family<br />

and Social Aff airs); its co-founders were the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Slovenia and the<br />

Chamber of Craft of Slovenia. Also operating within the Centre is the National VET (Vocational Education<br />

and Training) Observatory which deals with the development and analysis of the labour mark<strong>et</strong>.<br />

The Centre, tog<strong>et</strong>her with its social partners, adopts the basic goals of vocational and technical<br />

education and training in Slovenia through developmental, professional and advisory tasks.<br />

Main activities, regular events (conferences, seminars, trainings…)<br />

– National vocational qualifi cation training<br />

– Producing guidelines and recommendations within development of training for resuscitation<br />

– Designing standardised teaching programmes suitable for all trainees in Europe<br />

– Counselling on m<strong>et</strong>hodological and didactical issues<br />

– Adopting results of the project and analysing the possibilities to include them into occupational<br />

standards at the end of the project duration<br />

– Promoting exchanges of experience and good practice<br />

– Teacher training<br />

– Training for counselors for young adults<br />

– Participation in transnational project partners me<strong>et</strong>ings<br />

Education and Training), the N<strong>et</strong>herlands; University of Durham, Business School, United Kingdom;Staats<br />

Institut für Schulqualität und Berufsforschung.<br />

– cooperation with related institutions in South-eastern Europe;<br />

– Projects supported by Leonardo da Vinci and Socrates programmes<br />
