TRIAD UNIT:
Do not cover the Triad 2000 turntable. The Triad 2000 VLC
Light Curing Unit is intended for the curing of:
1) Triad Material,
2) Triad Material to already-cured Triad Material, or
3) Triad Material to previously fabricated acrylic prostheses.
Because heat is generated as part of the cure process, some
thermoplastic materials may soften and distort. Care should
be exercised in dealing with combinations of metal and plastic,
relines of lower partial dentures and thermoplastic denture
base materials. Distortion can be avoided by dividing the
total cure time into interrupted segments to allow cooling.
DENTSPLY recommends routine sterilization of the
turntable. Remove the turntable from the unit, then soak or
spray it with a surface disinfectant. The Triad 2000 turntable
may be autoclaved up to approximately 100 cycles, based on
internal testing.
Do not operate the unit with the turntable down.
Do not operate the unit above 200˚F (93.3˚C) or below
50˚F (10˚C).
Do not place anything on top of the unit that would block the fan.
Leave a minimum of 2” above the unit for proper ventilation.
The lightning flash with arrowhead symbol, within
an equilateral triangle, is intended to alert the user to
the presence of uninsulated “dangerous voltage” within
the product’s enclosure that may be of sufficient
magnitude to constitute a risk of electric shock to
persons.
The exclamation point within an equilateral triangle,
is intended to alert the user to the presence of
important operating and maintenance (servicing)
instructions in the literature accompanying the
appliance.

TRIAD MATERIALS:
• If uncured Triad VLC Material becomes crusty, forms a
skin on its surface and becomes difficult to blend together,
it has been exposed to light for too long and should be
discarded because irreversible partial curing has occurred.
• If fresh, room-temperature Triad Material should craze or
crack when bent at a sharp angle, it has exceeded its useful
life.
• Refrigerate Triad Materials for maximum shelf life.
• Prolonged contact with uncured Triad Materials can cause
a slight-to-moderate skin irritation. Wash hands after handling
resin. Persons with special skin problems, cuts, or
abrasions should wear protective gloves. Uncured Triad
Materials are mild sensitizing agents. Occasionally, users
may develop contact dermatitis. Should this occur, wear
protective gloves. If sensitization persists, consult a physician.
• Triad Bonding Agent is a moderate skin irritant. Apply
with brush provided. Avoid contact with skin. Should contact
occur, wash promptly. Contains methyl methacrylate,
a potential sensitizing agent for certain individuals.
• DENTSPLY recommends exercising good infection control
practices when using Triad Bonding Agent and Air
Barrier Coating (ABC). To avoid contamination of contents,
pour a small amount of Bonding Agent or ABC into
a dappen dish. After using the brush to apply solution,
remove brush from cap and discard. Use general purpose
disposable brushes thereafter.
• Triad Air Barrier Coating should be kept out of the eyes.
• DENTSPLY recommends exercising good infection control
practices when using Triad Model Release Agent
(MRA). Use a clean cotton swab or disposable spatula to
remove the desired amount from the MRA container.
Dispose of any unused portion of MRA when finished
with application.

TRIAD ® 2000 LIGHT CURING UNIT
GENERAL DESCRIPTION & SPECIFICATIONS
The DENTSPLY Triad 2000 Light Curing Unit is
a precision engineered unit, constructed to exacting
specifications with the finest materials and workmanship.
It contains controls and components for
curing Triad visible light activated materials. The
unit is manufactured and distributed by DENTSPLY
International Inc., York, PA, through authorized dental
dealers throughout the world.
The DENTSPLY Triad 2000 Unit incorporates
specific controls with a rotating platform and lift, and
through a tungsten halogen light source, cures lightactivated
materials by use of visible light. The
adjustable table features selective controls to accommodate
the processing of all types of visible light
cure materials in various appliance shapes, with or
without the use of a model (cast).
Refer to Figure 1 for location of the following unit
controls and components:
POWER: On/Off switch. The cooling fan will
operate.
TABLE: Activates rotation of the table.
CURE: On/Off switch. Activates the lamp when
access door is closed. (Access door actuates
safety interlock switch.)
TIMER: Rotating timer dial programs processing
time.
TURNTABLE:
The turntable is raised and lowered by the
top-mounted lift knob. The turntable will
raise or lower to internal stops. The rotation
of the turntable is provided by a gearmotor
operating at 6 rpm. Rotation is activated
by the table switch.
CURING CHAMBER:
Contains a high-power, specially angled
tungsten halogen reflector lamp which
projects optimum photocure light on the
turntable location. The lamp is mounted
to be replaced easily.
COOLING FAN:
One 12 watt, 115V fan operates when the
power switch is ON, cooling the lamp
housing and the curing chamber.

INSTALLATION
UNPACKING AND INSTALLATION
DO NOT CONNECT POWER CORD TO
OUTLET AT THIS TIME.
1. Remove unit from shipping carton and place
in the desired operating location.
2. Open the processing chamber door and
remove packing material.
NOTE: Save shipping and packing materials.
If service is required at any time on
your Triad 2000 unit, you are responsible
for its safe* shipment back to
DENTSPLY. This is best accomplished
if the original shipping carton and packing
materials are used.
3. Connect the POWER cord to an appropriate
power source.
4. Turn the POWER switch ON. The cooling
fan should operate.
5. With the access door closed, set the TIMER
dial to 1 minute. Depress the CURE switch
to ON. The lamp should illuminate.
6. Depress the TABLE switch to ON. The table
should rotate.
*Supply OSHA information re: Bloodborne pathogens policy on
shipping possible contaminated equipment for service.

USING THE ‘SIGHTLINE’
To ensure optimum curing of all Triad Materials, it
is important to position the Triad appliance at the
proper height within the curing chamber. In the Triad
2000 unit, the alignment sightline is the lowest edge
of the lamp access door. (Refer to Figures 2 and 3.)
Positioning of turntable should be approximately
one-quarter inch below this sightline (created by the
bottom edge of the lamp access door). Simply use the
lift knob to raise or lower the appliance to be cured
to within this range. The mid-point of the appliance
should be lined up with the sightline for optimum
curing.

PROCESSING PROCEDURES
1. Place workpiece to be processed in the center of
the turntable.
2. Set height of turntable using the lift knob (on top)
and the optimum cure “sightline” shown in
Figures 2 and 3 for maximum light cure.
3. Firmly close the chamber access door.

NOTE: Open and close the curing chamber
door using the top one-half to one-third
of the finger grip edge on the right-hand
side of the door. Failure to close the
door properly will not engage the interlock
switch at the top of the door, thus
preventing the lamp from operating.
4. Press the POWER switch to ON.
5. Rotate TIMER to desired processing time interval.
(See the “Recommended Material Processing
Times” section.)
6. Press the CURE and TABLE switches to activate
lamp and turntable rotation. The lamp will turn
off automatically when the processing cycle is
complete.
NOTE: Should a processing time cycle be
interrupted, recycle the CURE switch
to OFF. Continue processing the workpiece
by pressing the CURE switch to
ON, which will result in a new, fullterm
cycle as indicated by the TIMER.
7. Open the chamber access door and remove the
workpiece from the processing chamber.
8. When the fan has cooled the processing chamber
(approximately 5 minutes), press the POWER
switch to OFF.
IMPORTANT:
Within practical working times, complete processing
of Triad Materials is not possible using hand-held
light curing devices developed for clinical restorative
dentistry. Therefore, with procedures that call for the
use of a hand-held light to establish an initial set, the
work must then be processed for the minimum recommended
time in a Triad VLC Light Curing Unit.
Only this will assure maximum physical properties
of the Triad Material used.
WARNING:
A protective lens covering the lamp becomes hot
during processing. Avoid contact at any time to
prevent burns.

DO NOT block or otherwise defeat the access
door interlock switch.
DO NOT place any items or material on top of
the unit.

MAINTENANCE
Maintenance instructions within this section are
limited to Periodic Maintenance and Troubleshooting/Analysis.
The corrective measures presented in the troubleshooting
procedures will eliminate most difficulties
encountered. When more than one corrective
measure is given, follow the indicated sequence. If
corrective measures fail to eliminate the malfunc-

COMPONENT REMOVAL AND
REPLACEMENT OF LAMP
1. When the lamp burns out, unplug the cord from
the power supply outlet.
2. Open the Lamp Access Door to expose the lamp
connector wires which are attached to the back of
the lamp housing.
CAUTION:
The lamp operates under pressure and at a high
temperature and may shatter or fail especially if
the unit is jarred or dropped when the lamp is on.
This curing lamp is unique to the Triad 2000 unit.
Use only the lamp specified for this unit
(Reorder No. 70353). Use of improper lamp or
use of defective equipment can result in shattering
which can cause personal injury and/or
equipment damage.
The lamp may be HOT from being in use. Allow
the lamp to cool to room temperature, approximately
10 minutes, before proceeding with
replacement.
3. Carefully remove lamp socket from the rear of
the lamp. See Figure 4.
4. Unscrew the three knurled screws and remove
the lamp collar (ring) and the lamp.
5. The replacement lamp and other parts should be
re-assembled in the reverse order of disassembly.
6. Return Lamp Access Door to its original position
and tighten the thumbscrew.
7. The circuit breaker on the side of the unit may
have activated. Reset the circuit breaker by
depressing it to the flush position.
8. Close the access door and actuate lamp illumination
by depressing the CURE switch.
9. When the unit has been re-assembled and the
access door closed, operate the unit through a test
cure cycle to check whether the lamp is functioning
properly.
NOTE: The lamp will not operate with the curing
chamber access door in the open
position.
MAINTENANCE
No unusual maintenance of the unit is required
other than to keep the unit free of excessive dust and
debris.
When indicated, use a vacuum or air pressure hose
to gently remove dust or debris from the optical filter
and turntable area.
The turntable will lift off from its motor mounting
to facilitate cleaning. It may be soaked or sprayed
with a surface disinfectant. Note also that the Triad
2000 turntable may be safely autoclaved up to 100
cycles.
Clean the cabinet with a mild soap or surface disinfectant
as required. Avoid abrasive cleaning compounds.
PRECAUTIONS:
• Prevent liquids from entering the unit, particularly
from the top.
• Disconnect the Power Cord prior to performing
any maintenance.

TRIAD ® 2000 CURING UNIT WARRANTY
The DENTSPLY TRIAD ® 2000 VLC Light Curing Unit is designed for dental use only and this warranty
is not applicable to other uses. The DENTSPLY TRIAD 2000 VLC Light Curing Unit, except
lamp, is warranted against defective material and workmanship for a period of 60 months from the
date of purchase. Parts will be repaired or replaced at our option. The DENTSPLY TRIAD VLC
Light Curing Unit lamp is warranted for 30 days. This warranty extends only to the original purchaser
and is subject to the following conditions:
1. The warranty registration card must be completed and returned to DENTSPLY within two weeks
of date of installation.
2. Any servicing of the DENTSPLY TRIAD 2000 VLC Light Curing Unit must be performed by
trained DENTSPLY Trubyte Dealer Service personnel, or by DENTSPLY.
3. The DENTSPLY TRIAD 2000 VLC Light Curing Unit must not be subjected to abuse, improper
installation, or application.
4. Damage due to improper return packaging will not be covered.
THERE ARE NO WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, WHICH EXTEND BEYOND THE
DESCRIPTION ON THE FACE HEREOF. DENTSPLY neither assumes, nor authorizes any person
to assume for it, any other liability in connection with the sale and use of the DENTSPLY TRIAD

APPENDIX I: TRIAD II OPERATION
TRIAD II owners should follow operating procedures
and material curing times given for the TRIAD
2000 unit, and use the following sightline instructions
specific to the TRIAD II Curing Unit.
USING THE TRIAD II ‘SIGHTLINE’
To insure optimum processing cycles in the
TRIAD II Unit, the turntable should be positioned to
align the lowest point of the TRIAD VLC Material
being used to 1/4’’(6.3 mm) below the metal-tab,
white sightlines located on either side of the
turntable.
Use the height adjustment control knobs on either
side of the TRIAD II Curing Unit to align material
within the chamber. See the following illustration.

APPAREIL TRIAD :
Ne pas couvrir le plateau tournant Triad 2000. L’appareil de
polymérisation Triad 2000 VLC est conçu pour la polymérisation
des éléments suivants :
1) Matériau Triad,
2) Matériau Triad sur matériau Triad déjà polymérisé, ou
3) Matériau Triad sur prothèses acryliques précédemment
fabriquées.
Du fait que de la chaleur est générée dans le cadre du processus
de polymérisation, certains matériaux thermoplastiques
peuvent mollir et se déformer. Traiter avec précaution les
mélanges de métal et de plastique, les rebasages de prothèses
inférieures partielles et les matériaux de plaque base thermoplastiques.
La déformation peut être évitée en divisant le
temps de polymérisation total en segments interrompus afin
de permettre le refroidissement.
DENTSPLY recommande une stérilisation routinière du
plateau tournant. Retirer le plateau tournant de l’appareil,
puis immerger ou vaporiser avec un désinfectant de surface.
Le plateau tournant Triad 2000 peut être passé à l’autoclave
jusqu’à environ 100 cycles, selon les tests internes.
Ne pas utiliser l’appareil avec le plateau tournant vers le bas.
Ne pas utiliser l’appareil à une température supérieure à 200
˚F (93,3 ˚C) ou inférieure à 50 ˚F (10 ˚C).
Ne rien placer sur l’appareil susceptible de bloquer le ventilateur.
Laisser un espace d’au moins 2 po. (5,4 cm) au-dessus
de l’appareil afin d’assurer une aération correcte.
La flèche en forme d’éclair dans un triangle
équilatéral vise à alerter l’utilisateur de la présence
dans le boîtier du produit d’une « tension dangereuse
» non isolée susceptible d’être suffisamment élevée
pour constituer un risque d’électrocution pour les
personnes.
Le point d’exclamation dans un triangle équilatéral
vise à alerter l’utilisateur de la présence
d’instructions importantes de fonctionnement et de
maintenance (entretien) dans les documents joints à
l’appareil.

MATERIAUX TRIAD :
• Si un matériau Triad VLC non polymérisé devient friable,
forme une peau à la surface et a du mal à s’amalgamer,
c’est qu’il a été exposé trop longtemps à la lumière et doit
être mis au rebut car une polymérisation partielle
irréversible est intervenue.
• Si un matériau Triad conservé à une température ambiante
fraîche vient à fissurer ou se craqueler lorsqu’il est plié
suivant un angle aigu, c’est qu’il est périmé.
• Réfrigérer les matériaux Triad pour maximiser leur durée
de vie.
• Un contact prolongé avec des matériaux Triad non
polymérisés peut entraîner une irritation cutanée légère à
modérée. Se laver les mains après avoir manipulé la
résine. Les personnes présentant des problèmes cutanés
particuliers, tels que coupures ou écorchures, doivent
porter des gants de protection. Les matériaux Triad non
polymérisés sont des agents moyennement sensibilisants.
Les utilisateurs peuvent parfois développer des dermatites
de contact. Si cela se produit, porter des gants de protection.
Consulter un médecin si la sensibilisation persiste.
• L’agent de liaison Triad est un irritant cutané modéré.
Appliquer avec le pinceau fourni. Eviter tout contact
cutané. En cas de contact, laver rapidement. Contient du
méthacrylate de méthyle, un agent potentiellement sensibilisant
chez certains individus.
• Dentsply recommande de respecter de bonnes pratiques
de contrôle des infections lors de l’utilisation d’Air
Barrier Coating (ABC) et de l’agent de liaison Triad. Afin
d’éviter de contaminer le contenu, verser un petit volume
d’agent de liaison ou d’ABC dans un godet Dapen. Après
avoir utilisé le pinceau pour appliquer une solution, retirer
le pinceau du capuchon et mettre au rebut. Utiliser par
la suite des pinceaux jetables d’usage général.
• Eviter tout contact oculaire avec Air Barrier Coating
Triad.
• Dentsply recommande de respecter de bonnes pratiques
de contrôle des infections lors de l’utilisation du Model
Release Agent (MRA) Triad. Utiliser un coton tige propre
ou une spatule jetable pour retirer le volume souhaité du
récipient de MRA. Jeter toute portion de MRA inutilisée
une fois l’application terminée.

DESCRIPTION GENERALE ET SPECIFICATIONS DE
L’APPAREIL DE PHOTOPOLYMERISATION TRIAD ® 2000
L’appareil de photopolymérisation Dentsply Triad
2000 est un appareil de précision, conçu pour
respecter au plus près les spécifications des matériaux
et qualités de fabrication les plus subtils. Il contient
des commandes et composants permettant de
polymériser des matériaux activés par rayonnement
visible Triad. Cet appareil est fabriqué et distribué
par Dentsply International Inc., York, PA, Etats-Unis,
via des revendeurs dentaires dans le monde entier.
L’appareil Dentsply Triad 2000 comprend des
commandes spécifiques dotées d’une plateforme
tournante et d’un système de levage, et, via une
source lumineuse tungstène-halogène, il polymérise
des matériaux activés par rayonnement à l’aide d’une
lumière visible. Le plateau réglable est doté de commandes
sélectives permettant de procéder au traitement
de tous types de matériaux de polymérisation
par rayonnement visible sur diverses formes d’appareils,
en utilisant ou pas un modèle.
Se reporter à la Figure 1 pour connaître l’emplacement
des commandes de l’appareil et des composants
suivants :
ALIMENTATION : Interrupteur On/Off
(Marche/Arrêt). Le ventilateur de refroidissement
fonctionne.
PLATEAU : Active la rotation du plateau.
POLYMERISER : Interrupteur On/Off (Marche/
Arrêt). Active la lampe lorsque la porte d’accès est fermée.
(La porte d’accès actionne le verrouillage de
sécurité.)
MINUTEUR : Le cadran de réglage du minuteur programme
le temps de polymérisation.
PLATEAU TOURNANT : Le plateau tournant est
soulevé et abaissé par le bouton de levage sur le
dessus. Le plateau tournant s’élèvera ou s’abaissera
vers les arrêts internes. La rotation du plateau tournant
est actionnée par un moteur à engrenages fonctionnant
à 6 tr/min. La rotation est activée par le commutateur
du plateau.
CHAMBRE DE POLYMERISATION : Contient
une puissance élevée, une lampe à réflecteur
tungstène-halogène spécialement inclinée qui projet
une lumière de photopolymérisation optimale à l’emplacement
du plateau tournant. La lampe est montée
de manière à pouvoir être remplacée facilement.
VENTILATEUR DE REFROIDISSEMENT : Un
ventilateur 12 watts, 115 V, fonctionne lorsque le commutateur
est sur ON (MARCHE), refroidissant le
logement de la lampe et la chambre de polymérisation.

1. Sortir l’appareil du carton d’emballage et le
placer dans l’emplacement d’utilisation
souhaité.
2. Ouvrir la porte de la chambre de polymérisation
et déballer.
REMARQUE : conserver le matériel
d’expédition et d’emballage. Si l’appareil
Triad 2000 vient à nécessiter une opération
de maintenance, l’utilisateur est
responsable de son acheminement en
toute sécurité* à Dentsply. Il est donc
préférable de conserver le carton d’expédition
et le matériel d’emballage d’origine.
3. Connecter le cordon d’ALIMENTATION sur
une source d’alimentation adéquate.
4. Mettre l’interrupteur sur ON (MARCHE).
Le ventilateur de refroidissement doit fonctionner.
5. Avec la porte d’accès fermée, régler le cadran
de réglage du MINUTEUR sur 1 minute.
Mettre le commutateur de POLYMERISA-
TION sur MARCHE. La lampe doit être
allumée.
6. Mettre le commutateur de PLATEAU sur
MARCHE. Le plateau doit tourner.

PROCEDURES D’UTILISATION
UTILISATION DE LA « LIGNE VISUELLE »
Afin d’assurer une polymérisation optimale de
tous les matériaux Triad, il est important de positionner
l’appareil Triad à la bonne hauteur dans la chambre
de polymérisation. Dans l’appareil Triad 2000, la
ligne visuelle d’alignement est le bord le plus bas de
la porte d’accès de la lampe. (Se reporter aux Figures
2 et 3.)
Le plateau tournant doit se trouver environ un
quart de pouce (0,64 cm) sous cette ligne visuelle
(créée par le bord inférieur de la porte d’accès de la
lampe). Il suffit d’utiliser le bouton de levage pour
élever ou abaisser l’appareil à polymériser dans cette
plage. Pour une polymérisation optimale, le point
médian de l’appareil doit être aligné avec la ligne
visuelle.

PROCEDURES DE POLYMERISATION
1. Placer la pièce à polymériser au centre du plateau
tournant.
2. Régler la hauteur du plateau tournant en utilisant
le bouton de levage (sur le dessus) et la « ligne
visuelle » de polymérisation optimale présentée
dans les Figures 2 et 3 pour une photopolymérisation
maximale.
3. Bien fermer la porte d’accès de la chambre.
REMARQUE : ouvrir et fermer la porte de la
chambre de polymérisation en utilisant
la moitié ou le tiers supérieur du bord
de la bride pour les doigts sur la droite
de la porte. Si la porte n’est pas correctement
fermée, le commutateur de
verrouillage ne s’enclenche pas en haut
de la porte, empêchant ainsi la lampe
de fonctionner.
4. Mettre le commutateur d’ALIMENTATION sur
MARCHE.
5. Tourner le MINUTEUR sur l’intervalle de temps
de polymérisation souhaité. (Voir la section «
Temps de polymérisation des matériaux recommandés
».)
6. Appuyer sur les commutateurs POLYMERISER
et PLATEAU pour activer la rotation du plateau
tournant et la lampe. La lampe s’éteint automatiquement
lorsque le cycle de polymérisation est
terminé.
REMARQUE : si un cycle de temps de
polymérisation doit être interrompu,
remettre le commutateur de POLY-
MERISATION sur OFF (ARRET).
Poursuivre la polymérisation de la
pièce en mettant le commutateur de
POLYMERISATION sur ON
(MARCHE), ce qui entraîne un nouveau
cycle complet comme indiqué par
le MINUTEUR.
7. Ouvrir la porte d’accès de la chambre et retirer la
pièce de la chambre de polymérisation.
8. Lorsque le ventilateur a refroidi la chambre de
polymérisation (environ 5 minutes), mettre le
commutateur d’alimentation sur OFF (ARRET).
IMPORTANT:
Dans les temps de travail pratiques, terminer la
polymérisation des matériaux Triad n’est pas possible
à l’aide d’appareils de photopolymérisation portatif
développés pour l’odontologie conservatrice
clinique. Par conséquent, avec des procédures nécessitant
l’utilisation d’une lumière portative pour
établir un durcissement initial, le travail doit alors
être polymérisé pendant le temps minimum recommandé
dans un appareil de photopolymérisation
Triad VLC. C’est le seul moyen d’assurer les propriétés
physiques maximales du matériau Triad utilisé.
AVERTISSEMENT :
Une lentille de protection couvrant la lampe
devient chaude en cours de polymérisation. Eviter
tout contact à tout moment pour empêcher les
brûlures.

Les instructions de maintenance contenues dans
cette section se limitent à une maintenance et un
dépannage/une analyse périodiques.
Les mesures correctives présentées dans les procédures
de dépannage éliminent la plupart des difficultés
rencontrées. Lorsque plusieurs mesures correctives
sont fournies, suivre la séquence indiquée.
Si les mesures correctives ne parviennent pas
éliminer le dysfonctionnement, contacter le

RETRAIT DU COMPOSANT ET
REMPLACEMENT DE LA LAMPE
1. Lorsque la lampe grille, débrancher le cordon de
l’alimentation secteur.
2. Ouvrir la porte d’accès de la lampe pour exposer
les fils de connexion de la lampe qui sont reliés à
l’arrière du corps de la lampe.
ATTENTION :
La lampe fonctionne sous pression et à une température
élevée. Elle peut éclater ou tomber en
panne spécialement si l’appareil est secoué ou
s’il tombe lorsque la lampe est en marche.
Cette lampe de polymérisation est une exclusivité
de l’appareil Triad 2000. Utiliser uniquement
la lampe indiquée pour cet appareil (N° de commande
70353). L’utilisation d’une lampe
inadéquate ou de matériel défectueux peut
entraîner l’éclatement susceptible de causer des
blessures et/ou d’endommager le matériel.
La lampe peut être CHAUDE du fait de son utilisation.
Laisser la lampe refroidir à température
ambiante, environ 10 minutes, avant de procéder
au remplacement.
3. Retirer soigneusement la douille de la lampe de
l’arrière de la lampe. Voir Figure 4.
4. Dévisser les trois vis moletées et retirer le bourrelet
de la lampe (anneau) et la lampe.
5. La lampe de remplacement et autres pièces
doivent être remontés en reprenant la procédure
de démontage, mais dans l’ordre inverse.
6. Remettre la porte d’accès de la lampe dans sa
position d’origine et serrer les vis de serrage.
7. Le disjoncteur sur le côté de l’appareil peut s’être
déclenché. Réinitialiser le disjoncteur en le mettant
en position encastrée.
8. Fermer la porte d’accès et actionner l’éclairage
de la lampe en appuyant sur le bouton de POLY-
MERISATION.
9. Lorsque l’unité a été remontée et la porte d’accès
fermée, actionner l’appareil en lançant un cycle
de polymérisation test afin de vérifier si la lampe
fonctionne correctement.
REMARQUE : la lampe ne fonctionnera pas si
la porte de la chambre d’accès est en
position ouverte.
MAINTENANCE
Aucune opération inhabituelle de maintenance
n’est requise. L’appareil doit seulement être protégé
contre toute poussière et autres débris excessifs.
Utiliser si nécessaire un tuyau à vide ou à air comprimé
pour enlever délicatement la poussière ou les
débris du filtre optique et du plateau tournant.
Afin de faciliter le nettoyage, le plateau tournant
va se soulever de son support moteur. Il peut être
immergé ou vaporisé à l’aide d’un désinfectant de
surface. Noter également que le plateau tournant
Triad 2000 peut subir en toute sécurité jusqu’à 100
cycles d’autoclave.
Au besoin, nettoyer le boîtier à l’aide d’un savon
doux ou d’un désinfectant de surface. Eviter les composants
de nettoyage abrasifs.
PRECAUTIONS :
• Empêcher toute pénétration de liquides dans l’appareil,
particulièrement depuis le haut.
• Débrancher le cordon d’alimentation avant de
procéder à toute opération de maintenance.

Les propriétaires de TRIAD II doivent respecter
les procédures de fonctionnement et les temps de
polymérisation des matériaux fournis pour l’appareil
TRIAD 2000 et se conformer aux instructions suivantes
concernant la ligne visuelle spécifiques à l’appareil
de polymérisation TRIAD II.
UTILISATION DE LA « LIGNE
VISUELLE » DE TRIAD II
fin d’assurer des cycles de traitement optimaux
dans l’appareil TRIAD II, le plateau tournant doit
être positionné pour aligner le point le plus bas du
matériau TRIAD VLC utilisé à 1/4 po. (6,3 mm)
sous tl’onglet métallique, les lignes visuelles blanches
étant situées des deux côtés du plateau tournant.
Utiliser les boutons de commande de réglage de la
hauteur des deux côtés de l’appareil de polymérisation
TRIAD II pour aligner le matériau dans la chambre.

UNITÀ TRIAD:
Non coprire il piatto girevole dell’unità Triad 2000. L’Unità
di fotopolimerizzazione VLC Triad 2000 è progettata per la
polimerizzazione di:
1) Materiale Triad,
2) Materiale Triad su Materiale Triad già polimerizzato,
oppure
3) Materiale Triad su protesi in resina acrilica fabbricate
precedentemente.
A causa del calore generato durante il processo di polimerizzazione,
alcuni materiali termoplastici possono ammorbidirsi
e deformarsi. Agire con cautela in caso di combinazioni di
metallo e plastica, ribasature di protesi parziali dell'arcata
inferiore e materiali di base termoplastici per protesi. È possibile
evitare le distorsioni dividendo il tempo totale di
polimerizzazione in segmenti separati per consentire il raffreddamento.
DENTSPLY consiglia di sterilizzare il piatto girevole con
regolarità. Rimuovere il piatto girevole dall’unità, quindi
immergerlo o spruzzarlo con un disinfettante per superfici. Il
piatto girevole dell’unità Triad 2000 può essere trattato in
autoclave per un massimo di circa 100 cicli, secondo i test
interni.
Non utilizzare l’unità con il piatto girevole abbassato.
Non utilizzare l’unità a temperature superiori a 200°F
(93,3°C) o inferiori a
50°F (10°C).
Non collocare sopra l’unità oggetti che occludano l’aerazione
della ventola. Lasciare uno spazio minimo di 2” sopra l’unità
per consentire un’aerazione adeguata.
Il simbolo del fulmine con punta di freccia all’interno
di un triangolo equilatero avvisa l’utente della presenza
di “tensione pericolosa” non isolata all’interno
della struttura del prodotto, di intensità sufficiente a
costituire pericolo di folgorazione per le persone.
Il punto esclamativo all’interno di un triangolo equilatero
avvisa l’utente della presenza di istruzioni
importanti di funzionamento e manutenzione
(riparazione) nella documentazione annessa all’apparecchio.

MATERIALI TRIAD:
• Se il Materiale VLC Triad non polimerizzato si secca,
forma una pellicola in superficie e diventa difficile da
miscelare, è stato esposto troppo a lungo alla luce e deve
essere scartato in quanto ha subito una polimerizzazione
parziale irreversibile.
• Se il Materiale Triad fresco a temperatura ambiente si incrina
o spezza quando viene piegato ad angolo, ha superato
la sua durata utile.
• Refrigerare il Materiale Triad per assicurare il massimo di
durata utile.
• Il contatto prolungato con il Material Triad può provocare
una leggera o moderata irritazione cutanea. Lavare le
mani dopo aver manipolato la resina. Persone con particolari
problemi epidermici, tagli o abrasioni dovranno
indossare guanti protettivi. I Materiali Triad non polimerizzati
sono leggermente sensibilizzanti. Occasionalmente,
gli operatori potranno sviluppare dermatiti da contatto. In
tal caso, indossare guanti protettivi. Se la sensibilizzazione
continua, consultare un medico.
• Il Legante Triad è un moderato irritante cutaneo.
Applicare con il pennello in dotazione. Evitare il contatto
con la pelle. In caso di contatto, lavare immediatamente.
Contiene metilmetacrilato, che per taluni individui è un
potente agente sensibilizzante.
• Dentsply consiglia di attenersi alle buone prassi di controllo
delle infezioni quando si utilizzano Bonding Agent
e Air Barrier Coating (ABC) Triad. Per evitare la contaminazione
dei contenuti, versare una piccola quantità di
Bonding Agent o ABC in un vaso Dappen. Una volta utilizzato
il pennello per applicare la soluzione, rimuovere il
pennello dal tappo e gettarlo. In seguito, usare pennelli
monouso generici.
• L’Air Barrier Coating Triad deve essere tenuto lontano dal
contatto con gli occhi.
• Dentsply consiglia di attenersi alle buone prassi di controllo
delle infezioni quando si utilizza il Model Release
Agent (MRA) Triad. Usare un tampone di cotone pulito o
una spatola monouso per rimuovere la quantità desiderata
dal contenitore dell’MRA. Gettare la parte non utilizzata
dell’MRA una volta terminata l’applicazione.

DESCRIZIONE GENERALE E SPECIFICHE
L’Unità di fotopolimerizzazione Dentsply Triad
2000 è uno strumento di precisione, realizzato con i
migliori materiali e manodopera attenendosi a severe
specifiche. Contiene controlli e componenti per la
polimerizzazione dei materiali fotoattivi a luce visibile
Triad. L’unità è prodotta e distribuita da
Dentsply International Inc., York, PA, attraverso
rivenditori odontoiatrici autorizzati in tutto il mondo.
L’Unità Dentsply Triad 2000 Unit incorpora controlli
specifici in una piattaforma rotante con dispositivo
di elevazione e polimerizza materiali fotoattivi
mediante luce visibile utilizzando una fonte di luce
alogena al tungsteno. Il piatto regolabile è dotato di
controlli selettivi per consentire la lavorazione di
tutti i tipi di materiali polimerizzabili a luce visibile
in diverse forme di protesi, con o senza l’uso di un
modello (impronta).
Consultare la Figura 1 per la posizione dei seguenti
controlli e componenti dell’unità:
ALIMENTAZIONE:
Interruttore di accensione/spegnimento.
Aziona la ventola di raffreddamento.
PIATTO: Attiva la rotazione del piatto.
POLIMERIZZAZIONE: Interruttore di accensione/spegnimento.
Attiva la lampada
quando il portello di accesso è chiuso. (Il
portello di accesso attiva un interruttore
di interblocco di sicurezza).
TIMER: Il timer a indicatore rotante programma il
tempo di lavorazione.
PIATTO GIREVOLE: Il piatto girevole viene sollevato
e abbassato dalla manopola di sollevamento
in posizione superiore. Il piatto
girevole si alza e si abbassa fino ai punti
di arresto interni. La rotazione del piatto
girevole è azionata da un motoriduttore a
6 giri/min. La rotazione è attivata dall’interruttore
del piatto.
CAMERA DI POLIMERIZZAZIONE: Contiene
una lampada alogena riflettente a tungsteno,
ad alta potenza e con angolazione
speciale, che proietta una luce ottimale
per la fotopolimerizzazione sulla
posizione del piatto girevole. La lampada
è installata in modo da poter essere smontata
agevolmente.
VENTOLA DI RAFFREDDAMENTO: Una ventola
da 12 W, 115 V si attiva quando l’interruttore
di alimentazione è in posizione
ON, raffreddando l’alloggiamento della
lampada e la camera di polimerizzazione.

NOTA: Conservare i materiali di spedizione
e imballaggio. Se saranno necessarie
riparazioni sull’unità Triad 2000,
l’operatore è responsabile della spedizione
in sicurezza* a Dentsply. Il miglior
modo per procedere in questo senso è utilizzare
il cartone e l’imballaggio originali.
3. Collegare il cavo di ALIMENTAZIONE a
una sorgente di alimentazione appropriata.
4. Accendere (posizione ON) l’interruttore di
ALIMENTAZIONE. La ventola di raffreddamento
dovrebbe entrare in funzione.
5. Con il portello di accesso chiusi, impostare
l’indicatore del TIMER a 1 minuto. Premere
il pulsante di POLIMERIZZAZIONE portandolo
in posizione ON. La lampada dovrebbe
accendersi.
6. Premere il pulsante del PIATTO portandolo
in posizione ON. Il piatto dovrebbe ruotare.

PROCEDURE OPERATIVE
UTILIZZO DELLA
‘LINEA DI RIFERIMENTO’
Per assicurare una polimerizzazione di tutti i
Materiali Triad, è importante collocare la protesi
Triad all’altezza adeguata all’interno della camera di
polimerizzazione. Nell’unità Triad 2000, la linea di
riferimento per l’allineamento è il bordo inferiore del
portello di accesso alla lampada (v. le Figure 2 e 3).
Il posizionamento del piatto girevole deve essere
approssimativamente un quarto di pollice (8 mm)
sotto tale linea di riferimento (costituita dal bordo
inferiore del portello di accesso alla lampada).
Utilizzare semplicemente la manopola di sollevamento
per sollevare o abbassare la protesi da
polimerizzare entro tale intervallo. Per una polimerizzazione
ottimale, la linea mediana della protesi
deve essere allineata alla linea di riferimento.

PROCEDURE DI LAVORAZIONE
1. Collocare il pezzo da lavorare al centro del piatto
girevole.
2. Impostare l’altezza del piatto girevole usando la
manopola di sollevamento (in alto) e la “linea di
riferimento” di polimerizzazione ottimale come
da Figure 2 e 3 per il massimo effetto di
fotopolimerizzazione.
3. Chiudere saldamente il portello di accesso alla
camera.
NOTA: Aprire e chiudere il portello della camera
di polimerizzazione usando la metà
o il terzo superiore del lato di manipolazione
sulla destra del portello. Se il
portello non viene chiuso correttamente,
non verrà azionato l’interruttore
di interblocco nella parte superiore del
portello e la lampada non si azionerà.
4. Premere l’interruttore di ALIMENTAZIONE
portandolo in posizione ON.
5. Ruotare il TIMER sull’intervallo di tempo di
lavorazione desiderato (v. la sezione “Tempi di
lavorazione consigliati per i materiali”).
6. Premere i pulsanti POLIMERIZZAZIONE e
PIATTO per attivare la lampada e la rotazione del
piatto girevole. La lampada si spegnerà automaticamente
una volta completato il ciclo di lavorazione.
NOTA: Se il ciclo del tempo di lavorazione
dovesse interrompersi, riportare l’interruttore
POLIMERIZZAZIONE su
OFF. Continuare la lavorazione del
pezzo riportando l’interruttore
POLIMERIZZAZIONE su ON, il che
darà l'avvio a un nuovo ciclo completo
come indicato dal TIMER.
7. Aprire il portello di accesso alla camera e rimuovere
il pezzo dalla camera di lavorazione.
8. Una volta che la ventola ha terminato di raffreddare
la camera di lavorazione (circa 5 minuti),
portare l’interruttore di alimentazione su OFF.
IMPORTANTE:
Entro tempi di lavoro pratici, non è possibile avere
una lavorazione completa dei Materiali Triad usando
dispositivi di fotopolimerizzazione manuali sviluppati
per la pratica odontoiatrica clinica ricostruttiva.
Pertanto, nelle procedure che richiedono l’uso di una
luce manuale per avere una prima stabilizzazione, il
lavoro dovrà poi essere completato per il tempo minimo
consigliato un un’Unità di fotopolimerizzazione
Triad VLC. Solo in questo modo potranno essere
assicurate le proprietà fisiche complete del Materiale
Triad utilizzato.
AVVERTENZA:
La lente protettiva che copre la lampada raggiunge
temperature elevate durante la lavorazione.
Evitare sempre il contatto per evitare ustioni.

Le istruzioni di manutenzione di questa sezione si
limitano alla Manutenzione periodica e alla
Individuazione e risoluzione dei problemi.
Le misure correttive esposte nelle procedure di
risoluzione dei problemi permettono di eliminare
gran parte delle difficoltà incontrate. Quando vengono
indicate più misure correttive, attenersi alla
sequenza indicata. Se le misure correttive non correggono
il guasto, contattare il rappresentante

RIMOZIONE DEI COMPONENTI E
SOSTITUZIONE DELLA LAMPADA
1. Se la lampada si brucia, scollegare il cavo dalla
presa di alimentazione elettrica.
2. Aprire il portello di accesso alla lampada in
modo da scoprire i cavi del connettore della lampada
collegati alla parte posteriore dell’alloggiamento
della lampada.
ATTENZIONE:
La lampada opera in pressione e ad alta temperatura
e può infrangersi o guastarsi specialmente
se l’unità viene urtata o cade quando la lampada
è accesa.
La lampada di polimerizzazione è specifica per
l’unità Triad 2000. Usare esclusivamente la lampada
specificata per questa unità (Codice pezzo
di ricambio: 70353). L’uso di lampade non adatte
o l’uso di equipaggiamento difettoso può
portare la lampada a infrangersi, il che può
provocare lesioni alle persone e/o danni alle
apparecchiature.
Dopo essere stata utilizzata, la lampada può
essere ROVENTE. Lasciare raffreddare la lampada
fino a temperatura ambiente, circa per 10
minuti, prima di procedere alla sostituzione.
3. Rimuovere con cura l'alloggiamento della lampada
dal retro della lampada. V. la Figura 4.
4. Svitare le tre viti zigrinate e rimuovere il colletto
(anello) della lampada, quindi la lampada stessa.
5. La lampada di ricambio e le altre parti devono
essere rimontate in ordine inverso rispetto allo
smontaggio.
6. Riportare il portello di accesso alla lampada nella
posizione originaria e serrare le viti a mano.
7. È possibile che si sia attivato l'interruttore di
sicurezza sul lato dell'unità. Ripristinare l’interruttore
di sicurezza portandolo in posizione di
lavaggio.
8. Chiudere il portello di accesso e azionare l’accensione
della lampada premendo il pulsante
POLIMERIZZAZIONE.
9. Una volta rimontata l’unità e chiuso il portello di
accesso, azionare l’unità mediante un ciclo di
polimerizzazione di prova per verificare che la
lampada funzioni correttamente.
NOTA: La lampada non funzionerà se il portello
di accesso alla camera di polimerizzazione
è in posizione aperta.
MANUTENZIONE
Non è richiesta manutenzione straordinaria dell’unità;
è semplicemente necessario mantenerla libera
da eccesso di polvere e residui.
Quando è indicato, usare un aspiratore o un soffio
di aria compressa per rimuovere delicatamente polvere
e detriti dall’area del piatto girevole e dal filtro
ottico.
Il piatto girevole può essere sollevato dal supporto
motorizzato per agevolarne la pulizia. Può essere
immerso o spruzzato con un disinfettante per superfici.
Si noti inoltre che è possibile lavare in autoclave
il piatto girevole dell’unità Triad 2000 per un massimo
di 100 cicli.
Pulire il cabinet con un detergente non aggressivo
o un disinfettante per superfici secondo quanto necessario.
Non utilizzare composti detergenti abrasivi.
PRECAUZIONI:
• Non permettere che entrino liquidi nell’unità,
soprattutto dal lato superiore.
• Scollegare il cavo di alimentazione prima di
eseguire interventi di manutenzione.

L’unità di fotopolimerizzazione Dentsply TRIAD® 2000 VLC è progettata per il solo uso odontoiatrico;
la presente garanzia non è applicabile ad altri usi. L’unità di fotopolimerizzazione Dentsply
TRIAD 2000 VLC, con l’eccezione della lampada, è garantita priva di difetti di materiali e manodopera
per un periodo di 60 mesi dalla data d’acquisto. I componenti saranno riparati o sostituiti a nostra
discrezione. La lampada dell’unità di fotopolimerizzazione Dentsply TRIAD VLC è garantita per
30 giorni. La presente garanzia è estesa al solo acquirente originario ed è soggetta alle seguenti condizioni:

TRIAD-GERÄT:
Den Triad 2000-Drehteller nicht abdecken. Das Triad 2000
VLC-Polymerisationsgerät ist für das Aushärten der folgenden
Materialien zu verwenden:
1) Triad-Material,
2) Triad-Material zu bereits gehärtetem Triad-Material, oder
3) Triad-Material zu vorherig hergestellten Acrylprothesen.
Einige thermoplastische Materialien können durch die bei
dem Aushärteprozess entstehende Wärme erweichen und sich
verformen. Bei dem Umgang mit Kombinationen von Metall
und Kunststoff, Unterfütterungen von unteren Teilprothesen
und thermoplastischen Prothesenmaterialien sorgfältig vorgehen.
Verformung kann vermieden werden, wenn die gesamte
Polymerisationszeit in unterbrochene Segmente aufgeteilt
wird, um eine Abkühlung zu ermöglichen.
DENTSPLY empfiehlt eine routinemäßige Sterilisierung des
Drehtellers. Drehteller von dem Gerät abnehmen und dann
mit einem Oberflächendesinfektionsmittel einsprühen oder
darin tränken. Der Triad 2000-Drehteller kann für bis zu
ungefähr 100 Zyklen autoklaviert werden, was auf internen
Test basiert.

Vorhandensein einer unisolierten, “gefährlicher
Spannung” im Gehäuse hin, die stark genug sein
kann, einer Person einen elektrischen Schlag zu versetzen.
Das Ausrufezeichen in einem gleichseitigen Dreieck
weist den Benutzer auf wichtige Betriebs- und
Wartungsvorschriften in den beiliegenden Unterlagen
des Gerätes hin.

TRIAD-MATERIALIEN:
• Wenn nicht polymerisiertes VLC-Material verkrustet, sich
auf seiner Oberfläche ein Film bildet und es schwierig zu
mischen ist, wurde es zu lange dem Licht ausgesetzt und
muss entsorgt werden, da eine irreversible partielle
Polymerisation aufgetreten ist.
• Wenn frisches und bei Raumtemperatur gelagertes Triad-
Material beim Verbiegen mit einem spitzen Winkel
Mikrorisse oder Sprünge bekommt, hat es seine
Lebensdauer überschritten.
• Triad-Materialien für maximale Haltbarkeit kühl lagern.
• Nach längerem Hautkontakt mit nicht polymerisierten
Triad-Materialien sind leichte bis mittelschwere
Hautreizungen möglich. Hände nach Handhabung von
Kunststoffen waschen. Personen mit Hautproblemen,
Schnittverletzungen oder Abschürfungen sollten während
der Verarbeitung Schutzhandschuhe tragen. Nicht polymerisierte
Triad-Materialien können leichte
Sensibilisierungen hervorrufen. Gelegentlich kann es bei
Benutzern zu einer Kontaktdermatitis kommen. In diesem
Fall Schutzhandschuhe tragen. Bleibt die Sensibilisierung
bestehen, einen Arzt aufsuchen.
• Triad-Haftvermittler kann mittelschwere Hautreizungen
hervorrufen. Mit beiliegendem Pinsel auftragen. Kontakt
mit Haut vermeiden. Bei Kontakt sofort auswaschen.
Enthält Methylmetacrylat, das bei bestimmten Personen
möglicherweise Sensibilisierungen hervorrufen kann.
• Dentsply empfiehlt bei der Verwendung von Triad-
Haftvermittler und Air Barrier Coating (ABC)
Infektionskontrollen durchzuführen. Zu Vermeidung der
Kontamination der Inhalte eine kleine Menge
Haftvermittler oder ABC in eine Nachpoliermulde geben.
Nach Verwenden des Pinsels zum Auftragen der Lösung
den Pinsel von der Kappe entfernen und entsorgen.
Danach universelle Einwegpinsel verwenden.
• Triad-Air Barrier Coating nicht in die Augen gelangen
lassen.
• Dentsply empfiehlt die Einhaltung von
Infektionskontrollen bei Verwendung von Triad-Model
Release Agent (MRA). Ein sauberes Baumwolltuch oder
einen Einwegspachtel verwenden, um die gewünschte
Menge aus dem MRA-Behälter zu entnehmen. Nicht verwendetes
MRA nach Beendigung der Applikation entsorgen.

Das Dentsply Triad 2000-Polymerisationsgerät ist
ein Präzisionsgerät, das nach genauen Angaben aus

Gerät wird von Dentsply International Inc., York, PA,

Das Dentsply Triad 2000-Gerät verfügt mit einem
Drehteller und einer Liftvorrichtung über spezielle
Steuerelemente und polymerisiert lichthärtende
Materialien mit einer Wolfram-Halogenlampe. Der
einstellbare Teller verfügt über selektive
Steuerelemente, um die Verarbeitung von allen
Typen lichthärtenden Materials in verschiedenen
Formen mit oder ohne Verwendung eines Modells zu
ermöglichen.

STROM: Netzschalter (Ein/Aus) Der Lüfter wird
betrieben.
TABLE: Aktiviert die Drehung des Drehtellers.
CURE: Netzschalter (EIN/AUS) Betätigt die

TIMER: Mit dem Drehungszeitschalter wird die

einen Getriebemotor mit 6 UpM
angetrieben. Die Drehung wird durch den
Tellerschalter aktiviert.
CURING CHAMBER: Beherbergt eine speziell
angewinkelte Hochleistungs-Wolfram-
Halogenlampe, mit der ein optimales
Aushärtungslicht auf den Drehteller gestrahlt
wird.. Die Lampe ist so montiert,
dass sie leicht auszutauschen ist.
COOLING FAN: Der 12 Watt, 115V-Lüfter wird
betrieben, wenn der Netzschalter auf EIN
steht und kühlt das Lampengehäuse und
die Polymerisationskammer.

1. Gerät aus der Verpackung entnehmen und an
dem gewünschten Verwendungsort aufstellen.
2. Verarbeitungskammertür öffnen und
Packungsmaterial entfernen.

3. Das NETZKABEL an eine geeignete
Stromquelle anschließen.

VERWENDUNG DER ‘SICHTLINIE’
Um eine optimale Aushärtung aller Triad-
Materialien zu erzielen, ist es wichtig, die Triad-
Anwendung innerhalb der Polymerisationskammer
in der korrekten Höhe zu positionieren. Bei dem
Triad 2000-Gerät ist die Ausrichtungslinie der unterste
Rand der Lampenzugangstür. (Siehe Abbildung 2
und 3)
Die Stellung des Drehtellers sollte etwa 6,3 mm
unterhalb dieser Sichtlinie (die durch den unteren
Rand der Lampenzugangstür entsteht) sein. Einfach
den Knopf für den Liftvorrichtung betätigen, um die
Prothese innerhalb dieses Bereichs anzuheben bzw.
abzusenken. Für eine optimale Aushärtung sollte der
Mittelpunkt der Anwendung mit der Sichtlinie übereinstimmen.

VERARBEITUNGSVERFAHREN
1. 1. Zu verarbeitendes Werkstück in die Mitte
des Drehtellers platzieren.
2. Höhe des Drehtellers mit dem Liftknopf (oben)
und die in den Abbildungen 2 und 3 dargestellte
optimale Sichtlinie für die maximale Aushärtung
einstellen.
3. Zugangstür zur Kammer fest verschließen.
HINWEIS: Zum Öffnen und Schließen der
Zugangstür der Polymerisationkammer
die oberste Hälfte bis oberstes Drittel
der Griffkante an der rechten Seite der
Tür verwenden. Bei nicht korrekt verschlossener
Tür wird der
Verriegelungsschalter der Tür nicht
aktiviert und die Lampe somit nicht
betrieben.
4. NETZSCHALTER auf EIN schalten.
5. TIMER auf gewünschtes
Verarbeitungszeitintervall einstellen. (Siehe den
Abschnitt "Materialverarbeitungszeiten".)
6. Die Schalter CURE und TABLE betätigen, um
die Lampe und die Drehung des Drehtellers zu
aktivieren. Die Lampe wird bei Beendung des
Verarbeitungszyklus automatisch ausgeschaltet.
HINWEIS: Bei Unterbrechung eines
Verarbeitungszyklus CURE-Schalter
auf OFF schalten. Verarbeitung des
Werkstücks durch Betätigung des
Schalters CURE auf die Position ON
fortsetzen, wodurch, wie vom TIMER
angezeigt, ein neuer vollständiger
Zyklus gestartet wird.
7. Zugangstür öffnen und Werkstück aus der
Verarbeitungskammer entnehmen.
8. Wenn der Lüfter die Verarbeitungskammer
abgekühlt hat (etwa 5 Minuten), den Netzschalter
auf OFF schalten.
WICHTIGER HINWEIS:
Triad-Materialien können nicht innerhalb von
praktikablen Arbeitszeiten mit Lichtpistolen, die für
die restaurative Zahntechnik verwendet werden,
vollständig verarbeitet werden. Daher müssen bei
Verfahren, die für eine initiale Abbindung eine
Lichtpistole erfordern, diese Arbeiten daraufhin für
die empfohlenen Mindestzeiten in einem Triad VLC-
Polymerisationsgerät verarbeitet werden. Nur auf
diese Weise können die maximalen physikalischen
Eigenschaften des verwendeten Triad-Materials
sichergestellt werden.
WARNHINWEIS:
Während der Verarbeitung wird die Schutzlinse
der Lampe heiß. Jederzeit Kontakt vermeiden, um
Verbrennungen vorzubeugen.

WARTUNG
Die Wartungsvorschriften in diesem Abschnitt
beschränken sich auf Periodische Wartung und
Fehlersuche/Analyse.
Mit den in den Fehlersucheverfahren angegebenen
Korrekturmaßnahmen werden die meisten auftauchenden
Schwierigkeiten beseitigt. Wenn mehr
als eine Korrekturmaßnahme vorgeschlagen wird,
die angegebene Reihenfolge befolgen.
Wenn die Fehlfunktionen nicht durch die
Korrekturmaßnahmen behoben werden, wenden

ENTFERNUNG UND AUSTAUSCH
DER GLÜHLAMPE
1. Wenn die Lampe durchbrennt, Netzkabel aus der
Steckdose ziehen.
2. Lampenzugangstür öffnen, um die
Lampenverbindungskabel zu erreichen, die auf
der Rückseite des Lampengehäuses angebracht
sind.
ACHTUNG:
Die Lampe wird unter Druck und bei hohen
Temperaturen betrieben und kann zerbrechen
oder ausfallen, besonders wenn das Gerät bei
eingeschalteter Lampe erschüttert oder fallen
gelassen wird.
Diese Aushärtelampe ist nur für das Triad 2000-
Gerät geeignet. Verwenden Sie nur die für dieses
Gerät bestimmte Lampe (Nachbestellnummer
70353). Die Verwendung von ungeeigneten
Lampen oder fehlerhaften Geräten kann zu
einem Zerspringen der Lampe und zu
Verletzungen und/oder Schäden an den Geräten
führen.
Die Lampe kann von dem Gebrauch HEISS sein.
Vor dem Austausch etwa 10 Minuten auf
Raumtemperatur abkühlen lassen.
3. Lampenfassung auf der Rückseite der Lampe
vorsichtig abnehmen. Siehe Abbildung 4
4. Die drei Rändelschrauben lösen und Lampenhals
und Lampe abnehmen.
5. Die Ersatzlampe und weitere Teile müssen in der
umgekehrten Reihenfolge eingebaut werden wie
bei dem Ausbau.
6. Lampenzugangstür in die ursprüngliche Position
stellen und Rändelschreiben festziehen.
7. Der Trennschalter an der Geräteseite wurde
möglicherweise aktiviert. Trennschalter zurücksetzen
durch Drücken in die niedergedrückte
Position.
8. Zugangstür schließen und Lampenbeleuchtung
durch Betätigung des CURE-Schalters
aktivieren.
9. Wenn das Gerät zusammengebaut und die
Zugangstür geschlossen ist, einen Testzyklus mit
dem Gerät durchführen, um das korrekte
Funktionieren der Lampe zu überprüfen.
HINWEIS: Die Lampe funktioniert nicht,
wenn sich die Zugangstür zur Kammer
in der offenen Position befindet.
WARTUNG
Das Gerät erfordert keine ungewöhnlichen
Wartungsarbeiten, außer es frei von übermäßigem
Staub und Schmutz zu halten.
Wenn erforderlich, einen Vakuum- oder
Druckluftschlauch verwenden, um Staub und
Schmutz vom optischen Filter und dem
Drehtellerbereich vorsichtig zu entfernen.
Der Drehteller lässt sich von dem Motor abheben,
um das Reinigen zu erleichtern. Er kann mit einem
Oberflächendesinfektionsmittel eingesprüht oder
darin getränkt werden. Beachten Sie auch, dass der
Triad 2000-Drehteller für bis zu ungefähr 100
Zyklen autoklaviert werden kann.
Gehäuse mit einer milden Seife oder
Oberflächendesinfektionsmittel reinigen.

Das DENTSPLY TRIAD® 2000 VLC-Polymerisationsgerät ist ausschließlich für den Einsatz im
zahntechnischen Bereich vorgesehen, und diese Garantie entfällt bei jeder anderen Verwendung. Die
Garantie des DENTSPLY TRIAD® 2000 VLC-Polymerisationsgeräts erstreckt sich auf
Fehlerfreiheit in Material und Verarbeitung für den Zeitraum von 60 Monaten ab Verkaufsdatum.
Teile werden nach Ermessen von DENTSPLY entweder repariert oder ersetzt. Die Dentsply TRIAD
VLC Aushärtelampe verfügt über eine Garantie von 30 Tagen. Diese Garantie gilt nur für den
Erstkäufer und unterliegt folgenden Bedingungen:
1. Die Garantiekarte muss innerhalb von zwei Wochen nach dem Installationsdatum ausgefüllt
und an DENTSPLY zurückgeschickt werden.

UNIDAD TRIAD:
No cubra la plataforma giratoria Triad 2000. La unidad de
polimerización por luz visible Triad 2000 está destinada a
polimerizar lo siguiente:
1) Material Triad
2) Material Triad en material Triad ya polimerizado
3) Material Triad en prótesis acrílicas ya fabricadas.
Como el calor se genera como parte del proceso de polimerización,
algunos materiales termoplásticos pueden ablandarse
y distorsionarse. Debe tenerse cuidado cuando se manejen
combinaciones de metal y plástico, rebasados de prótesis
dentales parciales inferiores y materiales termoplásticos de la
base de la prótesis dental. Se puede evitar la distorsión si se
divide el tiempo de polimerización en segmentos interrumpidos
para dejar que se enfríen.
DENTSPLY recomienda que se esterilice la plataforma giratoria
de manera rutinaria. Retire la plataforma giratoria de la
unidad y, a continuación, sumérjala en un desinfectante para
superficies o pulverícela con él. La plataforma giratoria Triad
2000 se puede esterilizar en autoclave hasta unos 100 ciclos,
según las pruebas internas.
No use la unidad si la plataforma giratoria no funciona.
No use la unidad a una temperatura superior a 200 °F (93,3
°C) o inferior a 50 °F (10 °C).
No coloque nada encima de la unidad que pueda bloquear el
ventilador. Deje un espacio mínimo de 5 cm por encima de la
unidad para que se ventile correctamente.
El símbolo de relámpago con una cabeza de flecha
dentro de un triángulo equilátero está destinado a
alertar al usuario de la presencia de “voltaje peligroso”
sin aislamiento dentro de la carcasa del producto
con una magnitud suficiente como para suponer
un riesgo de descarga eléctrica a las personas.
El símbolo de exclamación dentro de un triángulo
equilátero está destinado a alertar al usuario de la
presencia de instrucciones de funcionamiento y mantenimiento
(reparación) en la documentación que
acompaña al aparato.

MATERIALES TRIAD:
• Si el material de polimerización por luz visible Triad no
polimerizado se agrieta, se forma una película sobre su
superficie y cuesta mezclarlo, significa que se ha expuesto
a la luz demasiado tiempo y se debe desechar porque se ha
producido una polimerización parcial irreversible.
• Si un material Triad nuevo y almacenado a temperatura
ambiente se resquebraja o agrieta al doblarse formando un
ángulo agudo, habrá terminado su vida útil.
• Mantenga refrigerados los materiales Triad para maximizar
su vida de almacenamiento.
• Un contacto prolongado con los materiales Triad no
polimerizados puede ocasionar irritaciones potencialmente
leves a moderadas en la piel. Lávese las manos
después de manipular la resina. Las personas con problemas
especiales en la piel, cortes o rozaduras deberán utilizar
guantes protectores. Los materiales Triad no
polimerizados son agentes sensibilizantes suaves. Los
usuarios pueden sufrir dermatitis de contacto de vez en
cuando. Póngase guantes para evitarlo. Si sigue presentando
sensibilidad a los materiales, consúltelo con un
médico.
• El adhesivo Triad puede ocasionar irritaciones moderadas
en la piel. Aplíquelo con el pincel suministrado. Evite el
contacto con la piel. Si se produjera un contacto, lávese
inmediatamente. Contiene metacrilato de metilo, un
agente potencialmente sensibilizante para determinadas
personas.
• Dentsply recomienda aplicar prácticas adecuadas de control
de infecciones cuando se utilice el adhesivo Triad y el
recubrimiento protector (ABC). Para evitar que se contamine
el contenido, vierta una pequeña cantidad de adhesivo
o ABC en un vaso Dappen. Después de usar el pincel
para aplicar la solución, quítele el tapón y deséchelo. Use
pinceles desechables multiuso a partir de ese momento.
• El recubrimiento protector Triad debe mantenerse alejado
de los ojos.
• Dentsply recomienda aplicar prácticas adecuadas de control
de infecciones cuando se utilice el desprendedor de
modelos (MRA) Triad. Use un bastoncillo de algodón
limpio o una espátula desechable para quitar la cantidad
deseada del recipiente de MRA. Deseche el MRA
sobrante cuando termine de aplicarlo.

DESCRIPCIÓN GENERAL Y ESPECIFICACIONES DE LA
UNIDAD DE POLIMERIZACIÓN POR LUZ TRIAD ® 2000
La unidad de polimerización por luz Triad 2000 de
Dentsply es una unidad diseñada con precisión, fabricada
siguiendo rigurosas especificaciones y con
materiales y mano de obra de máxima calidad.
Contiene controles y componentes para polimerizar
materiales activados mediante luz visible de Triad.
La unidad se fabrica y distribuye en Dentsply
International Inc., York, PA a través de distribuidores
de productos dentales autorizados de todo el mundo.
La unidad Triad 2000 de Dentsply incorpora
determinados controles con una plataforma giratoria
y un elevador, y polimeriza materiales activados
mediante luz visible con una fuente de luz halógena
de tungsteno. La plataforma ajustable incluye controles
de selección para el procesamiento de todos los
tipos de material de polimerización por luz visible en
diferentes formas de aparatos, con o sin el uso de un
modelo (molde).
Vea la Figura 1 para conocer la ubicación de los
siguientes controles y componentes de la unidad:
ALIMENTACIÓN ELÉCTRICA: Interruptor de
encendido/apagado. Pone en funcionamiento
el ventilador.
PLATAFORMA: Activa la rotación de la plataforma.
POLIMERIZACIÓN: Interruptor de encendi-
do/apagado. Activa la lámpara si la puerta
de acceso está cerrada. (La puerta de
acceso activa el interruptor del dispositivo
de seguridad.)
TEMPORIZADOR: El selector del temporizador
de rotación programa el tiempo de procesamiento.
PLATAFORMA GIRATORIA: La plataforma giratoria
se sube y se baja mediante el mando
de elevación montado en la parte superior.
La plataforma giratoria subirá o bajará
hasta alcanzar topes internos. La rotación
de la plataforma giratoria se acciona
mediante un motor que funciona a 6 rpm.
La rotación se activa con el interruptor de
la plataforma.
CÁMARA DE POLIMERIZACIÓN: Contiene una
lámpara reflectante halógena de tungsteno
de alta potencia con un ángulo
especial que proyecta una luz
fotopolimerizadora óptima sobre la
plataforma giratoria. El montaje de la
lámpara es sencillo para facilitar su sustitución.
VENTILADOR: Cuando se activa el interruptor de
encendido, se acciona un ventilador de 12
vatios y 115 V que enfría la carcasa de la
lámpara y la cámara de polimerización.

DESEMBALAJE E INSTALACIÓN
NO CONECTE EL CABLE DE
ALIMENTACIÓN A LA TOMA DE COR-
RIENTE EN ESTE MOMENTO.
1. Saque la unidad de la caja de envío y
colóquela en la ubicación de uso deseada.
2. Abra la puerta de la cámara de procesamiento
y retire el material de embalaje.
NOTA: Ahorre en materiales de envío y
embalaje. Si necesita reparar la unidad Triad
2000 en cualquier momento, será el responsable
de volver a enviarla de manera segura*
a Dentsply. Esto se consigue mejor si se usan
los materiales de envío y embalaje originales.
3. Conecte el cable de alimentación a una fuente
de suministro eléctrico adecuada.
4. Coloque el interruptor de ENCENDIDO en la
posición ON (encendido). El ventilador debe
ponerse en funcionamiento.
5. Cierre la puerta de acceso y establezca el
selector del TEMPORIZADOR en 1 minuto.

PROCEDIMIENTOS OPERATIVOS
USO DE LA LÍNEA DE VISIÓN
Para garantizar una polimerización óptima de
todos los materiales Triad, es importante colocar el
aparato Triad a una altura adecuada dentro de la
cámara de polimerización. En la unidad Triad 2000,
la línea de visión de alineación se encuentra en el
borde inferior de la puerta de acceso de la lámpara.
(Consulte las figuras 2 y 3.)
La plataforma giratoria debe colocarse aproximadamente
a 6 milímetros por debajo de esta línea de
visión (creada por el borde inferior de la puerta de
acceso de la lámpara). Sólo tiene que usar el mando
de elevación para subir o bajar el aparato para
polimerizar dentro de este intervalo. El punto intermedio
del aparato debe estar alineado con la línea de
visión para conseguir una polimerización óptima.

PROCEDIMIENTOS DE PROCE-
SAMIENTO
1. Coloque la pieza que va a procesar en el centro de
la plataforma giratoria.
2. Defina la altura de la plataforma giratoria mediante
el mando de elevación (en la parte superior)
y la línea de visión de polimerización óptima que
se muestra en las figuras 2 y 3 para conseguir una
máxima polimerización por luz.
3. Cierre bien la puerta de acceso a la cámara.
NOTA: Abra y cierre la puerta de la cámara de
polimerización con la parte situada
entre la mitad y el tercio superior del
tirador situado a la derecha de la puerta.
Si la puerta no se cierra bien, no se
activará el interruptor de seguridad de
la parte superior de la puerta y la lámpara
no funcionará.
4. Coloque el interruptor de ENCENDIDO en la
posición ON (encendido).
5. Gire el TEMPORIZADOR hasta colocarlo en el
intervalo de tiempo de procesamiento deseado.
(Consulte la sección “Tiempos de procesamiento
de materiales recomendados”.)
6. Pulse los interruptores de POLIMERIZACIÓN y
PLATAFORMA para encender la lámpara y activar
la rotación de la plataforma. La lámpara se
apagará automáticamente cuando termine el ciclo
de procesamiento.
NOTA: Si se tuviera que interrumpir un ciclo de
tiempo de procesamiento, coloque el
interruptor de POLIMERIZACIÓN en
la posición OFF (apagado). Para
reanudar el procesamiento de la pieza,
coloque el interruptor de
POLIMERIZACIÓN en la posición
ON (encendido) y se iniciará un nuevo
ciclo completo, según lo indique el
TEMPORIZADOR.
7. Abra la puerta de acceso a la cámara y saque la
pieza de la cámara de procesamiento.
8. Cuando el ventilador haya enfriado la cámara de
procesamiento (en unos 5 minutos), coloque el
interruptor de encendido en la posición OFF
(apagado).
IMPORTANTE:
Mientras se esté usando el aparato, no se podrá
realizar un procesamiento completo de los materiales
Triad con dispositivos de polimerización por luz
portátiles desarrollados para odontología restauradora.
Por tanto, en el caso de procedimientos que
requieran el uso de una luz portátil para realizar una
solidificación inicial, deberá procesarse el trabajo
durante el tiempo mínimo recomendado en una
unidad de polimerización por luz visible Triad. Sólo
así se podrán garantizar al máximo las propiedades
físicas del material Triad utilizado.
ADVERTENCIA:
La lente protectora que cubre la lámpara se calienta
durante el procesamiento. Evite el contacto en
todo momento para evitar quemaduras.

MANTENIMIENTO
Las instrucciones de mantenimiento de esta sección
se limitan al mantenimiento periódico y la resolución
de problemas/análisis.
Las medidas correctoras presentadas en los procedimientos
de resolución de problemas eliminarán
la mayoría de dificultades detectadas. Si se proporciona
más de una medida correctora, siga la secuencia
indicada.

RETIRADA DE COMPONENTES Y
SUSTITUCIÓN DE LA LÁMPARA
1. Cuando se funda la lámpara, desenchufe el cable
de la toma eléctrica.
2. Abra la puerta de acceso a la lámpara para exponer
los cables del conector de la lámpara que están
conectados a la parte posterior de la carcasa de la
lámpara.
PRECAUCIÓN:
La lámpara funciona bajo presión y a una temperatura
elevada y puede estallar o fallar especialmente
si la unidad se sacude o se cae mientras
la lámpara está encendida.
Esta lámpara de polimerización es exclusiva
para la unidad Triad 2000. Use únicamente la
lámpara específica para esta unidad (nº ref.
70353). Un uso incorrecto de la lámpara o el uso
de equipos defectuosos puede hacer estallar la
lámpara y provocar lesiones personales y/o daños
en el equipo.
La lámpara se puede CALENTAR por el uso.
Deje enfriar la lámpara a temperatura ambiente
durante unos 10 minutos antes de sustituirla.
3. Retire con cuidado el enchufe de la lámpara de la
parte posterior de la misma. Vea la Figura 4.
4. Afloje los tres tornillos estriados y retire casquillo
de la lámpara (anillo) y la lámpara.
5. La lámpara de recambio y otras piezas se pueden
volver a montar siguiendo el orden inverso de
desmontaje.
6. Coloque la puerta de acceso a la lámpara en su
posición y apriete el tornillo de mariposa.
7. Se puede activar el disyuntor situado en el lateral
de la unidad. Restablézcalo pulsándolo hasta
que esté alineado.
8. Cierre la puerta de acceso y encienda la lámpara
pulsando el interruptor de POLIMERIZACIÓN.
9. Cuando se haya vuelto a montar la unidad y cerrado
la puerta de acceso, realice un ciclo de
polimerización de prueba para comprobar si la
lámpara funciona correctamente.
NOTA: La lámpara no funcionará si la puerta
de acceso a la cámara de polimerización
está abierta.
MANTENIMIENTO
No es necesario realizar tareas de mantenimiento
poco habituales en la unidad aparte de mantenerla
limpia, sin polvo ni residuos.
Si es necesario, utilice una aspiradora o una
manguera de aspiración para retirar el polvo o los
residuos del filtro óptico y la zona de la plataforma
giratoria.
La plataforma giratoria se puede separar del
soporte de su motor para facilitar su limpieza. Se
puede sumergir o pulverizar con un desinfectante
para superficies. Tenga en cuenta también que la
plataforma giratoria Triad 2000 se puede esterilizar
en autoclave hasta 100 ciclos.
Limpie el armario con un jabón suave o un desinfectante
para superficies, según sea necesario. Evite
el uso de productos de limpieza abrasivos.
PRECAUCIONES:
• Evite que entren líquidos en las unidades, especialmente
de la parte superior.
• Desconecte el cable de alimentación antes de
realizar las tareas de mantenimiento.

TRIAD ® 2000
La unidad de polimerización por luz visible TRIAD® 2000 de DENTSPLY está diseñada exclusivamente
para uso odontológico y esta garantía no se aplica a otros usos. La unidad de polimerización
por luz visible TRIAD 2000 de Dentsply, a excepción de la lámpara, está garantizada frente a defectos
de material y fabricación durante un período de 60 meses a partir de la fecha de compra. Las
partes serán reparadas o cambiadas a nuestra discreción. La lámpara de la unidad de polimerización
por luz visible TRIAD de Dentsply tiene una garantía de 30 días. Esta garantía se aplica sólo al comprador
original y está regida por las siguientes condiciones:
1. La tarjeta de registro de garantía debe cumplimentarse y enviarse a DENTSPLY en el plazo
de dos semanas tras la fecha de instalación.
2. Cualquier reparación de la unidad de polimerización por luz visible TRIAD 2000 de
Dentsply debe ser realizada por personal experto del servicio técnico del distribuidor DENTSPLY
Trubyte, o por DENTSPLY.
3. La unidad de polimerización por luz visible TRIAD 2000 de DENTSPLY no debe haber sido
sometida a un uso, instalación o aplicación incorrectos.
4. No estarán cubiertos los daños producidos por devolver el dispositivo incorrectamente
embalado.
LAS ÚNICAS GARANTÍAS, EXPRESAS O IMPLÍCITAS QUE SE OTORGAN SON LAS QUE
SE DESCRIBEN EN ESTE TEXTO. Dentsply no asume ni autoriza que ninguna persona asuma en

Los propietarios de TRIAD II deben seguir las
instrucciones de uso y los tiempos de polimerización
de los materiales proporcionados con la unidad
TRIAD 2000, así como usar las siguientes instrucciones
de la línea de visión específicas de la unidad
de polimerización TRIAD II.
USO DE LA LÍNEA DE VISIÓN DE
TRIAD II
TPara garantizar unos ciclos de procesamiento
óptimos en la unidad TRIAD II, debe colocarse la
plataforma giratoria de manera que esté alineado el
punto inferior del material de polimerización por luz
visible TRIAD que se esté utilizando a 6,3 mm por
debajo de las líneas de visión blancas de la pestaña
metálica situadas a cada lado de la plataforma giratoria.
Use los mandos de control de ajuste de altura de
cada lado de la unidad de polimerización TRIAD II
para alinear el material dentro de la cámara. Vea la
siguiente ilustración.
