THE PROFESSIONAL OF INFORMATION SCIENCE: BRAZIL AND PORTUGAL
The present document treats of the professional
formation in the area of the information in Brazil and
Portugal. For such, we will see the different influences
of theoretical foreigners in different historical periods
and their contributions for the professional's formation
in Librarianship, File and Documents.
Influences such as:
1. French: human resources and as cultural agent; 2.
American: the technologies of the information; 3.
English: with more theoretical character, with sending
of relative subjects to the administration of the
information and the thematic treatment of the
information; 4. Spanish: theoretical construction in the
area of the documental analysis; 5. Germany: in the
extent of the terminology and of the organization of the
knowledge, as support to the activities of thematic
treatment of information; 6. Italian: relative activities
the conservation and restore of documents in different
supports. 7. Present time: the different contributions
owed the new computer science technologies.
The schools of Information Sciences: Librarianship, File
and Documents come to assume a commitment of
united action, of theoretical and methodological
construction of supports that allows to the area the
definition of a owns identity in a scientific context.
Coming, to contribute for a new professional's
formation in balance between the conscience of the
social reality and the familiarity with the new
technologies.
