9. INSTALLATION
This Fresh IC is designed for use in recreational marine vessels in the following
freshwater applications (fig 1)
Mounting Instructions
• Locate in a dry position with adequate ventilation and no more than 3 metres
in height away from the tank. In normal use, ensure the pump cannot be
submerged or likely to be sprayed by water.
• Pump can be mounted horizontally or vertically (We recommend that the
pump head is mounted below motor level).
• Feet positions are adjustable to allow replacement of other pump types. Use
No. 8 stainless steel screws and washers to fasten pump to solid surface,
to support the pump securely.

WARNING : Before
plumbing, ensure that any
pressure relief valve placed
into your circuit has a
pressure relief higher than 5
bar ( 73 psi).
Plumbing
• Fresh IC does NOT require an accumulator tank on the cold water circuit. An
expansion vessel IS required on the hot water circuit.
• Check pump flow direction (as indicated on pump body) and ensure that the
strainer provided is attached to the pump head inlet.
• Never use pipe sealant or sealing tapes on threaded adaptors, as these may
enter the pump and cause failure.
Electrical Wiring
• Use specified fuse, as indicated on motor label in the circuit.
• Connect red wire to positive and black wire to negative - recommended wire
size is 2.5mm² (AWG 13).
