MEETINGS OF THE COMMITTEE FOR PROGRAMME
AND CO-ORDINATION OF THE UNITED NATIONS

NISTRATIVE COMMITTEE ON CO-ORDINATION, TO
BE HELD AT BUCHAREST FROM 5 TO 7 JULY 1967.

On behalf of the United Nations, I have the honour to propose that
in respect of the Joint Meetings of the Committee for Programme and Coordination
of the United Nations Economic and Social Council and the
Administrative Committee on Co-ordination, which, upon the invitation
of your Government, will, it is anticipated, take place in Bucharest from
5 to 7 July 1967, the following provisions relating to privileges and immunities
shall apply:
1. The Convention on the Privileges and Immunities of the United
Nations, to which the Romanian People's Republic is a party, shall be applicable
to the Joint Meetings. Officials of the specialized agencies participating
in the Joint Meetings shall enjoy the same privileges and immunities as are
accorded to officials of comparable rank of the United Nations.
2. All participants and other persons performing functions in connexion
with the Joint Meetings shall have the right of entry into and exit from
Romania. They shall be granted the necessary travel facilities. Visas, where
required, shall be granted free of charge.
I have the honour to suggest that if your Government accepts the foregoing
provisions, this note and your reply accepting them shall constitute
an agreement between the United Nations and the People's Republic of
Romania.
