(d) All recurrent expenditures,
(e) Adequate living accommodations for the Norwegian personnel,
or housing allowances as agreed upon for this personnel.
2. The Government of Norway shall provide:
(a) Norwegian personnel,
(b) Equipment, machinery and other items not available in India.
(c) Credits for procurement of machinery, equipment, spareparts and
other items for vessels and shore installations for furthering the development
of the Indian fishing industry, in accordance with the conditions to be laid
down in a separate Agreement between the two Governments.
3. The total Norwegian contribution, including credits, shall not exceed
N.Kr.40,000,000. - (Forty Million Norwegian Kroner).
4. Items purchased by NORAD under this Agreement and brought to India
shall, unless otherwise agreed upon, become the property of the Government
of India. The technical advice of the Norwegian Director shall be obtained
for the maintenance and utilisation of these items.
5. Income from sales of products and services from the Project shall be
accounted for separately in a way as to provide for the assessment of the
economic viability of the various production units.
6. The United Nations shall provide, at the request of the Government
of India and the Government of Norway, and in accordance with its established
principles, such assistance as may be appropriate under its governing
resolutions and as the rules and regulations of the United Nations and its
affiliated agencies may permit.
Article IV
RIGHTS AND EXEMPTIONS
Tax and duty privileges for the Project and the status of Norwegian
personnel are defined in Annex III to this Agreement.
Article V
DURATION AND ENTRY INTO FORCE
This Agreement shall take effect from the 1st of April, 1967 and remain
so until the 31st of March, 1972.
