Ottawa, June 15, 1966<br />

I have the honour to acknowledge receipt of your Note No. 391 of<br />

June 15, 1966, proposing an agreement between our two Governments to<br />

provide for the continued use by the <strong>United</strong> States Navy of certain land,<br />

adjacent to the present Leased Bases area at Redcliff, Newfoundland, for<br />

purposes in connection with the operation of the communication site maintained<br />

by the <strong>United</strong> States Navy there.<br />

I have the honour to inform you that the proposals contained in your<br />

Note are acceptable to the Government of Canada and, further, to confirm<br />

that your Note and this reply shall constitute an agreement between our<br />

two Governments on this matter, effective this date.<br />

Accept, Sir, the renewed assurances of my high consideration.<br />
