4.9 Energy / ECO Mode
36
Your appliance is equipped with a modern, programmable power saving function
(ECO Mode). It means that the appliance turns to power-saving ECO Mode (with minimal
heat output = using less electricity) 3 minutes after it last has been used (factoryset).
When the appliance is started again from ECO Mode, the heating up can take a
few seconds longer.
The ECO Mode can be deactivated for the appliance to be on full stand-by while switched
on:
• Press the programming button P in order to start program mode.
• Press the > button until the display shows eco-mode
• Press the ok button.
• Press the > button until you see no in the display.
• Confirm with the ok button. Display shows eco-mode
• From this point you can go directly to programming other settings or use the exit
button to leave program mode.
5. Maintenance and care
5.1 Filter use
☛ Please read chapter 4.2 Filter on filter use.
5.2 Changing filter
The effectiveness of the filter is exhausted after about 50 l of water. CHANGE filter
button (2) blinks.
TIP: Press the service button only when you want to change the filter.
☛ You can continue to brew coffee or draw hot water and steam. However, we
recommend that you change the filter immediately.
• Empty the water tank (17) and change the filter.
• Fill the tank with freshwater and put it back into the coffee machine.
• Press the service button (2). The display shows CHANGE filter / TURN valve.
• Hold a receptacle under the steam-hot water jet (12) and turn the steam/hot water
dial (11) to the right. The system will be rinsed.
• Wait until no more water comes out of the jet and then turned the dial (11) back to
the left.
• The system is ready for operation and the normal message for brewing coffee
appears on the display.
