12. Fontaine du Sauvage
Située devant l’entrée du château, la fontaine monumentale porte sur son bassin la date de 1583. En
1583, on voulait mettre sur la fontaine la statue de la Vierge, sculptée par Hans Michel de Bâle. Mais
on y dressa la statue de l’homme sauvage, sculptée par Laurent Perroud de Cressier. Le Sauvage
avait dû quitter la place de l’hôtel de ville, où on mit la Vierge.
Der Figurenbrunnen mit dem Wilden Mann befindet sich vor dem Schlosseingang. 1583 wollte man
die von Hans Michel geschaffene Statue der Jungfrau auf den Brunnen stellen. Schliesslich aber
wurde die von Laurent Perroud aus Cressier geschaffene Statue des Wilden Mannes aufgestellt. Das
Becken ist von 1583.
This huge fountain which dates back to 1583, is located at the entrance to the château. That year,
many people wanted to place the statue of the Virgin Mary designed by Hans Michel on top of the
fountain. However, the statue of a wild man, done by Laurent Perroud from Cressier, was placed here.
13. Musée jurassien d’art et d’histoire
DELÉMONT
Depuis sa fondation en 1909 par l’abbé Arthur Daucourt, le musée jurassien d’art et d’histoire présente
l’histoire jurassienne, sous ses aspects culturels, sociaux, politiques et économiques.
Seit seiner Gründung durch Pfarrer Arthur Daucourt im Jahre 1909 befindet sich das Museum im
Herzen der Altstadt von Delémont. Es präsentiert die jurassische Geschichte, vor allem in kultureller
Sicht, aber auch mit ihren sozialen, politischen und wirtschaftlichen Aspekten.
Ever since it was founded in 1909 by Abbey Arthur Daucourt, the Jura Museum of Art and History
features exhibits primarily on the history of the area, focusing in particular on its cultural, social,
political and economic aspects.
