Trasformatori elettronici per lampade alogene a bassissima tensione • Electronic transformers for low voltage halogen lamps
I trasformatori elettronici per lampade alogene a bassissima tensione
sono concepiti essenzialmente per:
• Faretti da incasso e plafoniere.
• Sistemi in fila continua.
Caratteristiche generali:
• Protezione contro cortocircuiti: elettronica auto-ripristinabile.
• Protezione contro sovraccarichi; elettronica auto-ripristinabili.
• Protezione contro sovra-temperatura: elettronica auto-ripristinabile.
The electronic transformers for low-tension halogen lamps are
designed essentially for:
• Fitted spotlights and ceiling lights.
• Continuous line systems.
• Household lighting systems (fitted and projecting lights).
Thanks to extremely low losses, accurate partial load functioning, complete
regulation, these electronic transformers guarantee increased working comfort
with respect to traditional transformers.
Comfort
The reduction of the weight by around 80% and the volume by about 40%
substantially extends the working freedom in the design of halogen lighting
systems. Complete with IGBT cut phase dimmer technology (L.C. Relco series
RH) and/or TRIAC type technology without humming.
Savings on use
Thanks to the low loss levels, the heat dissipation is about 60% less than
traditional transformers with the advantage of a lower environmental heat load.
Correct power supply of the lamps in the entire partial load functioning field
with a consequent increase in the duration of the lamps.
• Self-resetting protection against short circuits.
• Self-resetting protection against overloads.
• Self-resetting protection against over-heating.
• Safety: as per EN 61347 standards.
• Suppression of radio disturbances: as per EN 55015 standards.
• Suppression of harmonic components: as per EN 61000-3-2 standards.
• Immunity: as per EN 61547/61407 standards.
General installation norms
The installation of electronic transformers requires the respect of certain
general rules:
• Place the transformer far from heat sources and ensure that it is not
exposed to hot air convection currents.
• Do not place the transformer directly above the lamps. The lamps are a
source of heat.
• The length of the connection cable of the electronic transformer to the
lamps must not be shorter than 20cm and no longer than 2 metres.
• Respect the sections as outlined in table pag.5 - for the connection of the
electronic transformer to the lamp.
• Respect the input tension data, the maximum power and the temperature in
the tc point as outlined on the product tampography.
• The electronic transformers that are the subject of this catalogue have
been designed to supply low-tension halogen lamps, their correct
functioning with other types of loads may not be guaranteed.
Use of the room temperature information
The minimum temperature and the maximum functioning temperatures are
indicated on the product tampography. If the product is used at a room
temperature that is inferior to the minimum temperature indicated, the
electronic transformer may not function, but this may not prejudice its
reliability. On the other hand, if it functions at a higher maximum temperature,
thermal protection would intervene in order to safeguard the product. When
choosing the electronic transformer it is important to consider that the
maximum room temperature indicated on the product plate refers to the
transformer when functioning with the maximum load. It is possible to
surpass this value by opportunely decreasing the load; an empirical rule is that
of reducing the load by 20% for every 10° C of room temperature beyond the
maximum outlined. The correct functioning of the electronic transformer may
always be verified by ascertaining that the temperature that is present at the tc
point indicated on the tampography of the product is not superior than the value
outlined on the plate information, this is in order to guarantee the correct choice of
room temperature / power supplied.
