When talking of electric vehicles,
typically passenger cars are being
discussed. But electric propulsion can
also make sense for other vehicles,
especially in an urban context.
Cheap, green electric bikes are more
popular than cars in China's
crowded cities, helping to offset the
country's pollution problems.
Last year, Chinese bought 21 million e-
bikes, compared with 9.4 million autos.
