Roses es una localidad de esencia
mediterránea y de marcada tradición
turística y marinera. Está situada en un
entorno natural único, rodeada de parques
naturales, al norte de la Costa Brava, a
menos de 30 km de la frontera francesa, a
65 km de Girona y a 160 km de Barcelona.
Sus orígenes se remontan al siglo VIII a.c
con la llegada de los rodios y la fundación
de la ciudad griega de Rhodes. Estos
hechos históricos se han convertido en las
señas de identidad de Roses, una
población moderna, culturalmente activa
y generosa, fruto de la convivencia con
otros pueblos y civilizaciones.
Dispone de una importante infraestructura
en alojamientos, restaurantes de
renombre, comercios y actividades lúdicas
y deportivas centradas en el disfrute de
las aguas de la bahía.

ROSES
Roses is an essentially Mediterranean
town with a notable tourist and seafaring
tradition. It is situated in a unique natural
setting, at the north of the Costa Brava,
less than 30 kilometres from the frontier
with France, 65 kilometres from Girona
and 160 kilometres from Barcelona.
Its origins go back to the 8th century BC
with the arrival of the Rhodians and the
foundation of the Greek city of Rhodes.
These historical events have become the
marks of identity of a modern, culturally
active and generous town born of a
peaceful co-existence with other peoples
and civilisations.
This coastal town has got an important
infrastructure of accomodation,
restaurants, business, leisure and sporting
activities, centred on the enjoyment of the
waters of the bay.
