General Information
REGISTRATION AND DELEGATE SERVICES
Badging / Access
The ID badge issued to you at registration check-in is required for admission into the Centro
Cultural Miguel Delibes (CCMD), as well as any Summit-sponsored activity. Please remember to
bring your badge with you on each day of the Summit.
Materials in Registration Bag
Please review the materials in your Registration Bag. Included are the Summit Program Book, the
State of the Microcredit Summit Campaign Report 2012, New Pathways Out of Poverty (the book
of papers to be discussed in the plenary sessions), a Summit evaluation form, and a notepad and
pen. Written questions will be collected from delegates during the Question and Answer period
in each Plenary Session.
Transportation
There will be a FREE bus service between the Summit hotels and the CCMD on each of the
days of the Summit, leaving the hotels in order to arrive before the first session of the day and
returning to the hotels after the last session of the day. A bus schedule will be available at the
front desk of each hotel for your reference. If you wish to arrive late to the CCMD or return early
to your hotel, you will be responsible for your own transportation.
There will be a FREE bus service from the CCMD in Valladolid to the Barajas Airport in Madrid
on the afternoon of Thursday, November 17th, all day Friday, November 18th, and in the
morning of Saturday, November 19th. If you have not already made a reservation for the airport
bus with our Registrar, you will need to visit the Registration Desk in the Main Hall and complete
a registration form in order to have a guaranteed seat on the bus.
Meals during the Summit
In Valladolid, all hotel bookings include complimentary breakfast.
Your Summit registration entitles you to a complimentary boxed lunch on November 14th, 15th
and 16th. Upon checking in at registration, you will receive a set of lunch tickets. You will need to
present one ticket to the caterers each day to receive a box lunch. Vegetarian options are available.
(Note: If you have registered and paid for a day-long course on November 17th or a two-day
course on the 17th and 18th, you will receive additional tickets for one boxed lunch on those
days.)
Coffee will be served to all Summit participants on the 14th, 15th, and 16th during the afternoon
break.
All delegates are cordially invited to the Delegate Reception on the evening of Tuesday,
November 15th at the CCMD.The reception, hosted by the Junta de Castilla y León, will feature
a taste of the foods and wines of the region. Delegates are responsible for their own dinner each
evening.
Simultaneous Interpretation
Simultaneous interpretation (English, French, and Spanish) is available during all plenary
sessions and select workshop sessions throughout the Summit as noted in the detailed agenda.
Please refer to the detailed agenda in your program book to see which sessions are available and
in which languages throughout.
Interpretation receivers are available near the Registration Desk to delegates free of charge;
however, delegates must leave a passport or Spanish DNI card. Receivers remain the
responsibility of the delegate until the close of each day when they may return the receiver and
retrieve their passport or Spanish ID card. If the receiver is not returned, the delegate will be
charged 150€ to replace the receiver (and may then retrieve their passport or DNI card).
Receivers are battery-operated and should remain at full strength for the duration of the Summit.
However, delegates may return to the Receiver Desk to exchange the receiver if it is faulty.
