General Information<br />

REGISTRATION AND DELEGATE SERVICES<br />

Badging / Access<br />

The ID badge issued to you at registration check-in is required for admission into the Centro<br />

Cultural Miguel Delibes (CCMD), as well as any <strong>Summit</strong>-sponsored activity. Please remember to<br />

bring your badge with you on each day of the <strong>Summit</strong>.<br />

Materials in Registration Bag<br />

Please review the materials in your Registration Bag. Included are the <strong>Summit</strong> Program Book, the<br />

State of the <strong>Microcredit</strong> <strong>Summit</strong> Campaign Report 2012, New Pathways Out of Poverty (the book<br />

of papers to be discussed in the plenary sessions), a <strong>Summit</strong> evaluation form, and a notepad and<br />

pen. Written questions will be collected from delegates during the Question and Answer period<br />

in each Plenary Session.<br />

Transportation<br />

There will be a FREE bus service between the <strong>Summit</strong> hotels and the CCMD on each of the<br />

days of the <strong>Summit</strong>, leaving the hotels in order to arrive before the first session of the day and<br />

returning to the hotels after the last session of the day. A bus schedule will be available at the<br />

front desk of each hotel for your reference. If you wish to arrive late to the CCMD or return early<br />

to your hotel, you will be responsible for your own transportation.<br />

There will be a FREE bus service from the CCMD in Valladolid to the Barajas Airport in Madrid<br />

on the afternoon of Thursday, November 17th, all day Friday, November 18th, and in the<br />

morning of Saturday, November 19th. If you have not already made a reservation for the airport<br />

bus with our Registrar, you will need to visit the Registration Desk in the Main Hall and complete<br />

a registration form in order to have a guaranteed seat on the bus.<br />

Meals during the <strong>Summit</strong><br />

In Valladolid, all hotel bookings include complimentary breakfast.<br />

Your <strong>Summit</strong> registration entitles you to a complimentary boxed lunch on November 14th, 15th<br />

and 16th. Upon checking in at registration, you will receive a set of lunch tickets. You will need to<br />

present one ticket to the caterers each day to receive a box lunch. Vegetarian options are available.<br />

(Note: If you have registered and paid for a day-long course on November 17th or a two-day<br />

course on the 17th and 18th, you will receive additional tickets for one boxed lunch on those<br />

days.)<br />

Coffee will be served to all <strong>Summit</strong> participants on the 14th, 15th, and 16th during the afternoon<br />

break.<br />

All delegates are cordially invited to the Delegate Reception on the evening of Tuesday,<br />

November 15th at the CCMD.The reception, hosted by the Junta de Castilla y León, will feature<br />

a taste of the foods and wines of the region. Delegates are responsible for their own dinner each<br />

evening.<br />

Simultaneous Interpretation<br />

Simultaneous interpretation (English, French, and Spanish) is available during all plenary<br />

sessions and select workshop sessions throughout the <strong>Summit</strong> as noted in the detailed agenda.<br />

Please refer to the detailed agenda in your program book to see which sessions are available and<br />

in which languages throughout.<br />

Interpretation receivers are available near the Registration Desk to delegates free of charge;<br />

however, delegates must leave a passport or Spanish DNI card. Receivers remain the<br />

responsibility of the delegate until the close of each day when they may return the receiver and<br />

retrieve their passport or Spanish ID card. If the receiver is not returned, the delegate will be<br />

charged 150€ to replace the receiver (and may then retrieve their passport or DNI card).<br />

Receivers are battery-operated and should remain at full strength for the duration of the <strong>Summit</strong>.<br />

However, delegates may return to the Receiver Desk to exchange the receiver if it is faulty.<br />
