“Early Bird Beats the Worm”
Early bird beats the worm
A dark and stormy day
A worm wiggles down soon to be dead and filled with dismay
A shadow forms a fatal beast awoken from its nap
The worm was not expecting this it looks up and forms a yap
Up early is the bird, it chomps down on its feast
The worm is very chewy and slightly tastes like yeast
The bird flies away
It settles to its nest
Now finally after a long day the bird can rest
It dreams about feasting, another day as a beast
The bird shrugs and sighs for now it must sleep
The next morning the bird is startled frightened from its sleep
It looks around and decides to continue its reap
It flies around and decides on its usual worming spot
Lying on the ground was a rotting apricot
While munching on the fruit a noise came from behind
And was the end, but a great meal for the feline
