THE AYUNTAMIENTO WILL CONTROL THE
SALES IN MORRO JABLE
Pájara’s Ayuntamiento will control the sales’ fairs
organised in Morro Jable, the most populated nucleus
of the area.
This measure responds to the local businesses’
needs to be present in these events that guarantee
the opportunity to sell articles of previous seasons at
a good price.
The next sales’ fair in Morro Jable will take place on
25 th , 26 th and 27 th September, which will allow
businesses to sell off their remaining unsold summer
stock.
Those dates are very attractive for businesses since,
traditionally the end of September is a time when the
South of the island gets a large tourist occupation.
The Fair will include complimentary activities that will
animate the event, attract more public and which will
be coordinated by an Organising Committee.

Die Gemeinde von Pájara wird die
Ausverkaufsmessen regeln, die in Morro Jable, dem
Ort mit der größten Bevölkerung der Gemeinde,
organisiert werden.
Diese Maßnahme ist eine Antwort auf das Bedürfnis
der Unternehmer des Ortes, an diesem Ereignis
teilzunehmen, bei dem Waren aus den vergangenen
Jahren zu guten Preisen verkauft werden können.
Die nächste Ausverkaufsmesse von Morro Jable wird
am 25., 26. und 27. September stattfinden, damit die
Händler überschüssige Waren der Sommerkampagne
ausverkaufen können.
Diese Termine sind sehr interessant für die
Unternehmer, da sich normalerweise Ende September
zahlreiche Touristen im Süden von Fuerteventura
aufhalten.
Zu der Messe werden Aktivitäten stattfinden, um das
Publikum anzuregen, diese zu besuchen. Diese werden
von der Kommission koordiniert, die den ganzen Event
organisiert.
CURSOS GRATUITOS DE ALEMÁN EN LA
ESCUELA RESIDENCIA DE PÁJARA
La Escuela Residencia de Pájara acoge dos cursos
gratuitos de alemán para trabajadores empleados o
empresarios autónomos; uno de nivel básico y otro de
nivel medio.
El primero de los cursos, de alemán básico, comenzó
el 23 de febrero. El de nivel medio se desarrollará a
partir del 16 de marzo y lo conformarán 44 horas lectivas.
A los asistentes a estos cursos se les entregará, de
forma gratuita, el material didáctico y los libros necesarios,
así como el certificado de aprovechamiento.

FREE GERMAN COURSES IN PÁJARA’S
RESIDENT SCHOOL
Pájara’s Resident School is organising two free
German courses for employees or self-employed
people; one of beginner’s level and one of medium
level.
The first course, of basic German, started on 23 rd
February. The medium level course will start on 16 th
March and will consist of 44 hours of courses.
Those who attend courses get free didactic material
and books, as well as a certificate.
Inscriptions to the March course can be done up to
three days before the start date. More information can
be obtained from the UGT and at the Commerce Office
of Pájara’s Ayuntamiento situated in the Cosmo
Commercial Centre of Solana Matorral in Morro Jable.

ESCUELA RESIDENCIA VON PÁJARA
In der Escuela Residencia von Pájara werden zwei
kostenlose Deutschkurse für Angestellte und
selbstständige Unternehmer stattfinden; einer davon
ist ein Grundkurs, der andere ist für die Mittelstufe.
Der erste dieser Kurse, der Grundkurs Deutsch, hat
am 23. Februar begonnen. Der Mittelstufenkurs wird
am 16. März beginnen und besteht aus 44
Unterrichtsstunden.
Die Teilnehmer dieser Kurse werden das
Unterrichtsmaterial sowie die notwendigen Bücher gratis
bekommen. Außerdem erhalten sie eine
Teilnahmebescheinigung.
Für den Kurs, der im März beginnt, kann man sich
bis drei Tage vorher anmelden. Man erhält weitere
Informationen im Büro der UGT und im Büro für Handel
der Gemeinde von Pájara, das sich im Einkaufszentrum
Cosmo de Solana Matorral in Morro Jable befindet.
EL 092, LÍNEA TELEFÓNICA DIRECTA CON
LA POLICÍA LOCAL DE PÁJARA
La Policía Local de Pájara cuenta ya con el número
telefónico 092 como línea directa para que los ciudadanos
y visitantes puedan contactar con este cuerpo.
Desde cualquier punto del municipio, y desde teléfonos
móviles y fijos se puede marcar este número,
que propicia una intervención rápida de los agentes
de la Policía Local de Pájara.
La puesta en marcha de este servicio de marcación
rápida es todo un avance que agilizará las actuaciones
y que contribuye a incentivar la colaboración ciudadana.
092: THE DIRECT TELEPHONE LINE WITH
PÁJARA’S LOCAL POLICE
Pájara’s Local Police now has 092 as its direct
telephone line for citizens and visitors to contact them.
This number can be dialled from anywhere in the
municipality and from mobile phones or landlines,
which will ensure a fast intervention from Pájara’s Local
Police.
Putting in place this fast dialling service is a real step
forward that will speed up actions and contribute to
motivate citizens’ collaboration.
092 IST DIE DIREKTWAHLNUMMER DER
ÖRTLICHEN POLIZEI VON PÁJARA
Die örtliche Polizei verfügt schon über die
Direktwahlnummer 092, damit sich Bürger und
Touristen mit ihr in Verbindung setzen können.
Von jedem Teil der Gemeinde kann man diese
Nummer von Festnetztelefonen und Handys anrufen,
was zu schnellem Eingreifen der örtlichen Polizei von
Pájara führt.
Die Ingangsetzung dieses Services ist ein Fortschritt,
der Eingriffe beschleunigt und die Bürgerbeteiligung
fördert.
EL AYUNTAMIENTO LLEVA A LOS ESCOLA-
RES AL TROZO DE TIERRA MÁS ANTIGUO
DE LAS ISLAS
El pasado viernes, 6 de febrero, parte de los alumnos
y alumnas de 3º de la ESO del IES Jandía estudiaron,
in situ, el Monumento Natural de Ajuy, espacio
protegido por su interés geológico y que es el trozo de
tierra más antiguo del archipiélago canario. La formación
de las islas, la flora y fauna del lugar y la historia
de este pueblo son asuntos que también se expusieron
a los jóvenes escolares.
En los estratos del acantilado de Ajuy hay secuencias
de rocas sedimentarias formadas en el fondo
oceánico durante el Cretácico, hace unos 120 millones
de años. También se puede observar, una playa
levantada con fósiles de hace cinco millones de años,
una colada basáltica, y capas de dunas consolidadas
con muchísimos caracoles fósiles.
Aprovechando esta visita guiada, los escolares también
se acercaron al Puerto de la Peña, instalación
importantísima otrora para los habitantes del sur de
Fuerteventura, y que todavía hoy es usada por los pescadores
del municipio, sobre todo en verano, con las
buenas mareas.
Durante esta excursión didáctica, los escolares de
Pájara disfrutaron también de una visita a las Cuevas
de Ajuy, reclamo turístico y bello paisaje costero.
THE AYUNTAMIENTO TAKES
SCHOOLCHILDREN TO THE ISLAND’S
OLDEST PLOT OF LAND
On Friday 6th February, children from the 3º ESO of
IES Jandia studied, in situ, Ajuy’s Natural Monument,
which is a protected area for its geological heritage
and is the oldest plot of land on the Canarian
Archipelago. The Island’s formation, the flora and fauna
of the area, the history of this village are some of
the subjects that were presented to schoolchildren.
In Ajuy’s cliff’s stratums there are sequences of
sediment rocks that were formed in the oceans’ depths
during Cretaceous, about 120 millions years ago. There
is also a beach of five million year old fossils, washed
up basalt and layers of consolidated dunes with
numerous fossilised shells.
Taking advantage of this guided visit, schoolchildren
also went to Puerto de la Peña, which used to be a
very important building for habitants in the south of
Fuerteventura. It is still used today by the municipality’s
fishermen, mainly in summer, during good tides.
During this didactic excursion, Pájara’s
schoolchildren also enjoyed a visit of Ajuy’s Caves, a
well known tourist stop off point, and beautiful coastal
landscape.
