FMHOY - Marta Burgués
From Bungee jumping, climbing mountains, to white
water rafting, adventure sports have gone from being
a trend to becoming a favourite option for groups and
companies who wish to disconnect themselves from
the daily routine and get rid of their stress.
Extreme sports are suitable for everyone, especially
for those who are looking for new emotions, for the
brave ones, for experts and experienced sports
enthusiasts and thanks to unbeatable weather
conditions, they can be practised all year long.
Hiking
Hiking
Going for long or short hikes is one of the best ways
to enjoy the scenery. It is recommended to wear good
hiking shoes made of leather. We should also
remember to protect ourselves from the sun using hats
and sun glasses, long sleeve shirts and sun cream to
protect the skin. On rainy days, we should take extra
care and respect all the safety signs on the tracks.
Many tracks are marked so that hikers won’t get lost
on the way.
Extreme sports: are you brave enough?
It is probably one of the most famous activities of that
type. The adrenaline rush is amazing and you will feel
like the king of the world
when you jump into the
void. It is recommended to
use at least two cords and
materials in perfect
conditions. It is also
important to remember
that such activities should
always be supervised by
experts.
Quads
Driving a large four
wheeled motorbike has
become one of the most
demanded activities.
Quads are easy vehicles to
drive and can be taken on
abrupt and complicated
tracks. On the other hand,
4x4 cars, like Quads, allow
us to access mountain
roads, desert areas and
other site that are
normally difficult to
access. This activity is
almost always supervised
by a monitor who guides
us.
THE POWER OF WATER
Raf Rafting Raf ting
This is one of the most
exciting sports that
consists of going down
torrents on an inflatable boat. Rafting allows us to
navigate on abrupt and difficult sites on rafts of four
to six people.
Kayak ak
Kayak is very popular in Alpine countries. In Spain it
is getting more popular and has the particularity to
consist of going down rough water rivers on a single
person raft. A paddle is used to control the flow of water
and maintain stability. It is not easy but instructors
guide you and give useful tips.
Activities A ctivities
Multi-adventure
activities are more and
more in demand by
companies that want to
give an incentive to their
employees to practise
activities outdoors. It is an
anti-stress therapy and it
helps them get closer to
nature, their colleagues
and creates bonds.
Those activities include various extreme sports and
orientation sports such as paintball, waterskiing,
speleology, archery, wall climbing, pirogue, cycling, hot
air balloon flights, horse riding… those are all goods
ways to spend an intense day together that will be
engraved in our memories when we go back to our
daily tasks.
