<strong>Celulosa</strong> <strong>Fabril</strong> S.A. is one of the leading European suppliers<br />
and reference in the automotive industry for development and<br />
manufacturing of systems based in thermoplastics injection and<br />
blow moulding.<br />
Since it was founded in 1946, our philosophy is to anticipate to<br />
our customers needs off ering a fully satisfying support in terms of<br />
Quality, Service, Price and Technology.<br />
Our Company is in a process of constant evolution and growth.<br />
Founded by Eduardo Blanchard Castillo and originally oriented<br />
to the production of cellulose caps, switched to the injection of<br />
thermoplastics in1952 and, fi nally, became fully concentrated in the<br />
automotive industry in 1992.<br />
We also have been sensitive to our customer’s needs in terms<br />
of global support and, as a result of that, we became part of the<br />
Peguform Group in 1994. As a result of that we can off er production<br />
and deliveries from our plants in Spain, Germany, Portugal, Poland,<br />
Mexico, Brazil and China.<br />

Por su amplia y contrastada trayectoria, <strong>Celulosa</strong> <strong>Fabril</strong>, S.A. (CEFA)<br />
es en la actualidad líder y un referente dentro de la industria del<br />
automóvil para el desarrollo y la producción de sistemas basados<br />
fundamentalmente en la tecnología de inyección y soplado de<br />
materiales plásticos.<br />
Desde el nacimiento de nuestra empresa en 1946 trabajamos bajo<br />
la fi losofía de anticiparnos a las necesidades de nuestros clientes<br />
ofreciéndoles la máxima satisfacción en aspectos tan importantes<br />
como calidad, servicio, precio y tecnología.<br />
Somos una fi rma en constante evolución y crecimiento desde su<br />
fundación por D. Eduardo Blanchard Castillo cuando se dedicaba<br />
a fabricar cápsulas de celulosa para tapones de botellas y otros<br />
productos químicos y farmacéuticos. En 1952, pasó a la inyección<br />
de termoplásticos y ya desde 1992 se centraría exclusivamente en<br />
el sector de la automoción. Fruto de esa evolución nos trasladamos<br />
en 1983 a nuestras actuales instalaciones en el polígono de Malpica<br />
en Zaragoza.<br />
Nos hemos ido adaptando a las necesidades de especialización<br />
de los mercados, por lo que en 1994 nos asociamos con el grupo<br />
Peguform, que entró a formar parte de nuestro accionariado y<br />
desde entonces ha favorecido la presencia a nivel mundial de los<br />
productos de la compañía.<br />

Injection Moulding<br />
- Standard, for production of conventional parts made of<br />
thermoplastics.<br />
- Gas assisted, allows production of parts with signifi cant thickness<br />
variations. It off ers the opportunity of manufacturing in one single<br />
piece parts which, by other means, would request an additional<br />
part.<br />
- Two Components (2K). Combination of several materials in one<br />
single part allow integration of several functions.<br />
- Insert moulding. Allocation of inserts in the tool before injection<br />
avoids further assembly operations on the injected part.<br />
- Low pressure. Allows production of fabric or foil covered parts in<br />
“one step process”.<br />
- Injection Compression. A further step in injection pressure<br />
reduction is achieved by this technology which is the preferred<br />
option for soft touch surfaces, instead of other complex and more<br />
expensive “multi step” processes.<br />
Blow Moulding<br />
This process allows the production of hollow parts mainly for<br />
functional applications (ducts, tanks,..)<br />
Thermoplastics Welding<br />
- Hot Plate (mirror): This process allows lower investment rates and<br />
high resistance welding.<br />
- Infrared. High resistance welding with lower operation and<br />
maintenance costs than hot plate.<br />
- Ultrasonics. High speed and competitive welding process for<br />
parts with limited size or bigger parts assembled together by spot<br />
welding.<br />
- Vibration. Off ers high resistance and productivity for big parts and<br />
high volumes which allow amortization of investment rates.<br />
- Heat staking is the process to fi x components produced in non<br />
compatible thermoplastics.<br />
Laser Technologies<br />
- Laser scoring (micro perforation), Fabrication of Instrument Panels<br />
with invisible integrated airbag lid is the typical application for this<br />
technique.<br />
- Laser cutting, is part of the manufacturing process to achieve<br />
parts covered with fabrics or foils. It is also a competitive and<br />
fl exible alternative to punching for prodution of low volume<br />
versions.<br />
- Marking and labelling. Laser allows achieving indelebly stamping<br />
of logos and barcodes.<br />

Our company has a long experience in the application of state of<br />
the art technologies for injection, surface fi nishing including soft<br />
touch, laser technologies, automation and assembly, to satisfy our<br />
customer expectations in the most competitive way.<br />
CEFA delivers complete systems but also single components, as<br />
glove boxes, armrests, coves and others.<br />
Panel de instrumentos y consola central<br />
Se trata de la principal interface entre el usuario y el vehículo. En<br />
CEFA proporcionamos a nuestros clientes un servicio que incluye<br />
desde el concepto, el desarrollo, la industrialización y la validación<br />
hasta la fabricación con las más avanzadas tecnologías y suministro<br />

Interior trim: panels and mouldings<br />
Though Interior Trims are mainly conceived to satisfy customer<br />
expectations in terms of appearance and comfort, they typically<br />
include safety (crash, impact, airbag..) and functional features<br />
(infotainment, storage..) which CEFA develops and delivers for<br />
1- Interior Panels, including Door Panels, Trunk Trim and Tailgate<br />
Panels. The use of the most advanced tooling concepts allows CEFA<br />
off ering the most competitive prices.<br />
2- Interior Mouldings, both Pillar Trims and Cover Rockers. They<br />
are produced by standard injection technology (with the eventual<br />
use of raw materials which provide a fabric appearance) or covered<br />
with foils/fabrics.<br />
3- Door Cappings / Window frame garnish mouldings. For this<br />
specifi c application CEFA provides combined know-how for the<br />
development and design of product, tool and fully automated<br />
handling systems.<br />

Revestimientos interiores<br />
Los revestimientos interiores y el panel de instrumentos se<br />
combinan para satisfacer las expectativas del usuario relativas a<br />
aspecto y confort.<br />
En este apartado se incluyen:<br />
1- Paneles interiores. Paneles de puerta, revestimientos de<br />
maletero y revestimiento del portón trasero.<br />
2- Molduras interiores. Revestimientos inferiores y revestimientos<br />
de pilares, ya sea fabricados por inyección convencional o<br />
recubiertos de tela, que incorporan aplicaciones relacionadas con<br />
absorción de impacto, airbag o elementos de audio.<br />
3- Revestimientos de marco de puerta. Una aplicación muy<br />
específi ca y compleja que incluye avanzadas técnicas de inyección y<br />
moldeo de piezas con bajo espesor.<br />

Blow moulding<br />
Our production is focused in the following applications:<br />
1- Heating, Ventilation and Air Conditioning Ducting, which<br />
are key to achieve a comfortable environment in the passenger<br />
compartment.<br />
2- Water reservoirs for Windshield and Headlamp washer<br />
systems. Typically consist of parts with complex geometry to<br />
maximize tank capacity using room available at the engine<br />
compartment. Delivered products include not only the tank itself<br />
but also water pumps, hoses, assembly brackets, fi ltering elements<br />
and cap at the fi ller neck.<br />
3- Engine air intake systems. Parts under extreme environmental<br />
conditions involve the use of advanced polymers. Their design<br />
complexity is related with their performance which guarantees air<br />
feeding to the engine in the required conditions of volume and<br />
cleanliness maintaining lowest noise rates.<br />
4- Engine Cooling system reservoirs (expansion tanks), working<br />
at the highest pressure and temperature conditions. They are<br />
mainly produced for medium or low volume series for which blow<br />
moulding allow the most competitive investment levels.<br />

Piezas de soplado<br />
Un proceso cuyas cuatro principales aplicaciones son:<br />
1- Conductos para acondicionamiento del habitáculo de<br />
pasajeros: ventilación, calefacción y aire acondicionado.<br />
2- Depósitos de agua para sistema de limpiaparabrisas y<br />
lavafaros. Piezas de geometrías complejas que aprovechan el<br />
espacio libre en compartimento motor. Incorporan bombas de<br />
agua, manguitos, soportes de anclaje, elementos de fi ltrado y el<br />
propio tapón de la boca de llenado.<br />
3- Conductos de admisión de aire a motor, fabricados con<br />
materiales avanzados y sometidos a elevados requerimientos<br />
funcionales. La complejidad de su diseño está relacionada con la<br />
necesidad de garantizar la entrada de aire en condiciones adecuadas<br />
de caudal y limpieza, sin afectar al nivel de ruido.<br />
4- Depósitos de líquido refrigerante, que trabajan con elevadas<br />
condiciones de presión y temperatura. Generalmente orientados a<br />
vehículos de producciones medias o bajas, para los que el soplado<br />
ofrece niveles de inversiones más competitivas.<br />

Functional Parts<br />
CEFA has developed specifi c know-how in the development and<br />
production of several components which are key in the correct<br />
operation of diff erent vehicle systems.<br />
1- Degas Containers and Expansion Tanks (also named as Surge<br />
Tanks). They are key to guarantee a proper engine cooling. Their<br />
working conditions, with combined heat and pressure, squeeze<br />
to the limit raw material properties. This can only be achieved by<br />
a correct design and development combined with fully automated<br />
and controlled manufacturing process.<br />
2- Power Steering Reservoirs. Cleanliness levels are key in the<br />
production and delivery of this component.<br />
3- Shroud radiators and fans, involving the most accurate<br />
injection processes which guarantee a balanced rotation for rattle<br />
free operation.<br />
4- Brackets and Heat shields. They support operation of vehicle<br />
electronics to perform according to their expected lifetime<br />
operation.<br />
5- Air intake grilles and components for heating, ventilation and air<br />
conditioning systems.<br />
6- Others.<br />
Piezas funcionales<br />
En CEFA hemos acumulado durante años un amplio conocimiento<br />
para el desarrollo y la fabricación de componentes de elevada<br />
responsabilidad que son claves para el correcto funcionamiento del<br />
vehículo.<br />
1- Depósitos de expansión. Sometidos a las más elevadas<br />
condiciones de presión y temperatura, garantizan una efi ciente<br />
refrigeración del motor al mantener libre de aire el caudal de líquido<br />
refrigerante que circula a través de la bomba.<br />
2- Depósitos para fl uido del sistema de dirección asistida. El nivel<br />
de limpieza y ausencia de contaminantes es crítico en la fabricación<br />
y el suministro de este producto.<br />
3- Envolventes de radiador.<br />
4- Soportes y elementos aislantes que protegen componentes<br />
eléctricos y electrónicos cuya vida útil, de otra forma, se vería<br />
seriamente afectada.<br />
5- Rejillas y componentes para sistemas de admisión de aire en el<br />
compartimiento de pasajeros.<br />
