Korpus 21 - Vol. 3

Korpus 21 is a journal published every four
months oriented to divulge original research
results on history and social science topics
and edited by El Colegio Mexiquense, A.C. It
privileges inter and transdisciplinary nature
studies, but is open to those who adopt a
one-dimensional vision in history, sociology,
economics, political science, geography,
anthropology, as well as related areas. Two
conditions are necessary for publishing a
paper: a) the empirical endorsement, whether
based on factual and critical apparatus,
in the case of history, or quantitative or qualitative
data that support stylized facts that
trigger and articulate theoretical reflection
in other disciplines; and b) that it allows to
contribute to the better understanding of
contemporary society, its workings, problems,
and perspectives.
The journal publishes articles and essays
after being submitted to two double-blind
peer reviewers, as well as unpublished reviews.
All proposals for publishing are evaluated
by national or international experts
on the subject of the submitted document
and external to the authors’ institution of
origin. Texts must respond to the intentions
of each of the journal’s sections: 1) Theme:
central theme of the issue. In this section,
editors may expressly request the collaboration
of some authors, without this implying
exemption from the full editorial process;
2) General: open to any topic included
in the different areas covered by the journal;
3) Essays and chronicles: analyze, interpret
and discuss a topic through which a hypothesis
is problematized or demonstrated
through an argumentative sequence that
denotes a deep knowledge of a particular
subject; 4) Readings and re-readings: reviews
of recently published books or of those
that lend themselves to new readings or
interpretations and 5) Infographics: ordered
and rearranged data that need systematized
diagrams and charts to facilitate a better
understanding of a given social fact.
This journal is aimed at a broad audience,
made up of researchers, teachers, students,
cultural managers, and those interested in
the past and present of society. Applications
are received in Spanish, English or Portuguese.
There is no charge for authors in any
of the stages that make up the application,
judgment, and publication process. The publication
format is electronic, by editing it in
PDF and XML, as well as in printed version.
