Hubo una temporada donde nos distanciamos por el trabajo,
otros objetivos y metas, pero que de lejos, siempre fuimos
cercanos, quizá no era muy fácil estar en contacto con él,
pero estábamos ahí, incluso seguí acudiendo a talleres que
él daba.
Philippe nos venía a ver al salón y teníamos unas pláticas tan
interesantes que de ahí salieron proyectos muy agradables,
por ejemplo, hubo un momento en que a Philippe le
cerraron algunas puertas y yo con él dije presente e hicimos
muchísimas plataformas, una de las más simpáticas fue la
presentación de la Alta Peluquería Francesa en México
en Huatulco, o la de París, con el presidente de la Alta
peluquería de aquel entonces.
Algunos recuerdos que tengo de Philippe son que yo le
decía, trabajas demasiado amigo, no has desayunado y son
3-4 de la tarde y tampoco has comido.
Tribuhair: En lo personal, fuiste uno de sus más grandes
amigos, estuvimos en varios viajes, cenas, pláticas, en fin,
cuéntanos una anécdota personal que viviste con Philippe.
Patrice Gueddy: El primer viaje que se hizo para un evento
de alta peluquería, fuimos a rentar una camioneta y Philippe
se había metido para hacer eso; pasó un rato y no salía
nadie, Philippe ya había tardado y todos me voltearon a
ver con cara de qué pasa., cuando voy a buscarlo, Philippe
me dijo que su tarjeta no lo habían activado en México y
que la tarjeta que la empresa otorgaba para viáticos no se la
habían mandado, así que le dije que se calmara y que luego
me lo traspasara, hubieras visto su cara de no quedar mal
con todos y pues es un recuerdo que tengo de él porque
siempre fue bien comprometido.
Una segunda anécdota, es que nos invita a comer a un
restaurante y Philippe había hecho una reservación, para no
hacerte la historia larga, Philippe se acerca con el dueño del
restaurante y resulta que la reservación no estaba hecha,
Philippe estaba lo que le sigue de enojado, imagínate, algo
pasó que finalmente entramos, resolvieron el problema y
comimos, lo curioso aquí es que Philippe me pidió que yo
hablara con el dueño antes y después de la cena me dijo,
“eras tú el único que hubiera podido resolver esto”.
La relación que tuve con Philippe, fue una amistad real,
no era necesario vernos todos los días porque cuando
era necesario, siempre estábamos presentes. Yo creo que
Philippe siempre estaba entre la espada y la pared, con el
tiempo, él tuvo nuevos amigos y eso no significó que se
alejara de sus amigos franceses.
Yo sentía que hace más de 20 años solo él tuvo la fuerza de
reunir a los estilistas más famosos de la nueva generación,
Jean Paul Dubach, Victoire Dubach, Maru Ortíz, Ken
Kinoshita, Jean Marie Mayol, Jose Luis Sánchez, Patrice
Mulard, Bernard Emirian, Lety Álvarez, Efren García
y hacer un grupo que funcionaba como una unidad y el
tiempo que logró mantener a todos fue algo histórico, más
de 9 años trabajando en conjunto.
There was a time when we drifted apart because of work,
other objectives and goals, but from afar, we were always
close, maybe it was not very easy to be in contact with him,
but we were there, I even kept going to workshops that he
gave.
Philippe would come to see us at the salon and we would
have such interesting conversations that very nice projects
came out of it, for example, there was a time when Philippe
had some doors closed and I was present with him and we
did many platforms, one of the nicest was the presentation
of the French hairdressing in Mexico in Huatulco, or the
one in Paris, with the president of the haute hairdressing
at that time.
Some memories I have of Philippe are that I used to tell him,
you work too much my friend, you haven't had breakfast and
it's 3-4 o'clock in the afternoon and you haven't eaten either.
Tribuhair:Personally, you were one of his greatest friends,
we were on several trips, dinners, talks, in short, tell us a
personal anecdote that you experienced with Philippe.
Patrice Gueddy: The first trip that was made for a hairdressing
event, we went to rent a van and Philippe had gone to do that;
it was a while and nobody came out, Philippe was already
late and everyone looked at me with a face like "what's
going on? When I went to look for him, Philippe told me
that his card had not been activated in Mexico and that the
card that the company gave him for travel expenses had not
been sent to him, so I told him to calm down and then he
would transfer it to me, you should have seen his face not to
look bad with everyone and it is a memory that I have of him
because he was always very committed.
A second anecdote, is that he invites us to eat at a restaurant
and Philippe had made a reservation, not to make the story
long, Philippe approaches the owner of the restaurant and
it turns out that the reservation was not made, Philippe was
so angry, imagine, something happened that finally we
went in, they solved the problem and we ate, the funny
thing here is that Philippe asked me to talk to the owner
before and after dinner he told me, "you were the only one
who could have solved this".
The relationship I had with Philippe was a real friendship,
it was not necessary to see each other every day because
when it was necessary, we were always present. I think
Philippe was always between a rock and a hard place, but
as time went by, he made new friends and that didn't mean
that he moved away from his French friends.
I felt that more than 20 years ago only he had the strength to
gather the most famous stylists of the new generation, Jean
Paul Dubach, Victoire Dubach, Maru Ortiz, Ken Kinoshita,
Jean Marie Mayol, Jose Luis Sanchez, Patrice Mulard,
Bernard Emirian, Lety Alvarez, Efren Garcia and make a
group that worked as a unit and the time he managed to
keep everyone was something historic, more than 9 years
working together.
