La comprensión lectora: construcción de aprendizajes significativos

Abstract

The following research was named: “Reading comprehension: construction of meaningful learning

in the student”. This research was chosen due to the problem that the deficiency of the reading

macro ability represents in the schools. These lags that refer to traditional practices of teachers, are

immersed in the results of national and international assessments of our country. An example of this

is the Programme for International Student Assessment (pisa), which says that Mexico is at a basic

level and in some cases below the basic level in reading comprehension. Therefore, the objective of

this research is to assess the level of language skills to improve reading comprehension through teaching

strategies that promote the development of meaningful learning in third grade students from

“Expropiación Petrolera” Elementary School in Morelia, Mich. In order to achieve these objectives,

it was used a mixed research method, based on the collection and analysis of quantitative and qualitative

data is going to be determined the function and rigor of the same. Therefore, this research is very

important to reach the optimal levels of reading comprehension and to show the effectiveness of the

recommended strategies for the improvement and understanding of the linguistic skills in students.
