I INDUSTRIA Movistar Arena, Alexandre Costa “Buenos Aires necesitaba un espacio con esta tecnología” Con experiencia mundial en el desarrollo de arenas, el General Manager presenta el nuevo venue instalado en Villa Crespo. “Instalamos el mejor sonido que existe en el mundo”, asegura. el nuevo centro de eventos, cerrado e insonorizado, fue construido para un máximo de 15,000 personas en pleno Villa Crespo, pegado a la cancha de Atlanta sobre Humbolt 450. Durante 2019 recibió artistas como J Balvin, Shawn Mendes, Norah Jones y los locales Andrés Calamaro, La Beriso, la final de la FMS o Abel Pintos, entre otros. La gestión está a cargo de ASM Global (empresa que resulta de la fusión de AEG Facilities y SMG), compañía líder mundial de entretenimiento en vivo y deportes que administra más de 300 estadios, arenas, centros de convenciones y espacios de artes escénicas alrededor del mundo, incluido el O2 Arena, en Londres; el Staples Center, en Los Ángeles, y el Mercedes-Benz Platz, en Berlín. El espacio cuenta con más de 30 suites privadas para 14 personas; un bar de cervezas Heineken y el Membership Rewards Lounge by American Express, un espacio de 450m2 para 120 invitados con vista frontal del escenario y servicio gastronómico de primer nivel y un cocktail bar. ¿Cuántos shows calculan en <strong>Argentina</strong> para el <strong>2020</strong>? - Creemos que esta arena llegará a unos 100 shows al año, un promedio de uno cada tres días. Esto, teniendo en cuenta que muchos de ellos son de varias funciones y varios shows en uno. Por ejemplo Sabina y Serrat hicieron cuatro recitales, Chayanne dos o Abel Pintos se presentó en tres oportunidades. Este es un espacio único en Buenos Aires, es un mercado que merece y necesita la arena, por eso creemos que es una oferta que no existía anteriormente. La tradición del Luna Park es muy grande pero hay veces que tiene que decirle que “no” a algún show propuesto. En ese caso, nosotros tenemos una capacidad que implica que ciertos espectáculos que hacen doble función en el Luna puedan hacer una sola acá. Nuestra capacidad varía entre 10.000 y 15.000 espectadores parados y sentados. Además, también contamos con áreas vip y tecnología que no había en la <strong>Argentina</strong>, para poder cumplir con todo tipo de público. ¿Pensaron en utilizar la arena para premiaciones o eventos televisivos? - Por supuesto. Este es un arena completamente multifuncional. Se puede hacer una premiación, un congreso, una misa… Tenemos varias configuraciones estructurales por lo que se pueden extraer plateas y reducir capacidad o utilizar medio recinto y así volverla accesible para todo tipo de eventos.
