Han traído la casa, pensó. Por sobre el
espacio y el tiempo, los jardines, los
sombreros, los suelos. Qué ha restado de
Cuba fuera de ella. Más nada ha conseguido
especular al pisar los cabos
porque si la tierra no fuese curva ni
los ojos endebles, allende ese horizonte
vería un imperio que se apaga
aunque persiste en sus últimos
espasmos: una vela.
