GENERAL DESCRIPTION
New biomechanical application,
which allows clinicians to evaluate
older adults´ fall risk, attributed to
their functional state. With that
purpose, the system uses an
Inertial Measurement Unit (IMU)
embedded in a wearable console
(mobile device), which is
responsible to analyse their
biomechanical response when
performing a modified protocol of
the Time up Go Test (TGU).
Due to its design, FALLSKIP is
especially aimed at meeting the
professionals´ needs of the
primary, secondary and social
healthcare sectors
DESCRIPCIÓN GENERAL
Nueva aplicación biomecánica
capaz de asignar el riesgo de una
persona a sufrir una caída
atribuible a su estado funcional.
Para ello, el sistema, compuesto
por un IMU (Inertial Measurement
Unit) embebido en una consola
portable, analiza su respuesta
biomecánica al realizar un
protocolo modificado del Test
“Time up & Go”(TUG).
Gracias a su diseño, FALLSKIP está
especialmente indicado para cubrir
las necesidades de los
profesionales de atención
primaria, especializada y el ámbito
de atención social.
