Parrot, Ochre-marked Parakeet, Bandtailed
Antwren, Bahia Antwren, Whitewinged
Potoo, White-winged Cotinga
and the super Banded Cotinga.
Day 14: Full day birding Veracel Reserve.
Day 15: Flight from Porto Seguro
airport.

• 2 Nights Guarimaranga.
• 1 Night Pedra Dos Ventos.

Day 1: Arrive at Fortaleza airport –
transfer to Icapui ( 200 km) in the coast
where the main target will be Little-
Wood Rail.
Day 2: Transfer to Serra de Baturité,
key birds: Gray-breasted Parakeet,Grayheaded
Spinetail,Ceara nateater, Rufousbreasted
Woodcreeper among others.
Night in Guaramiranga.
Day 3: Bird Baturite area,transfer to
Quixada, the target bird is Pygmy
Nightjar, We will stay on Hotel Pedra
dos Ventos, we also will start with
the “Caatinga Endemics” such as
Cactus Parakeet, Caatinga Cachalote,
Ochraceus Piculet and with luck, the
rare White-browed Guan.
Day 4: Early morning birding Quixada
and transfer to Chapada do Araripe,this
is the only habitat for the amazing
Araripe Manakin, Great Xenops, Caatinga
Antshrike, Tawny Piculet, White-browed
Antpitta, Caatinga Antwren.
Reserve for Red-shouldered Spinetail,
the local races of Lesser and Greater
Wagtail-Tyrant, Least Nighthawk.
Day 7: Early morning visit to Lear’s
Macaw roosting site. After birding,
come back for breakfast in the Reserve
accommodations and a long drive to
Chapada Diamantina. Night in the nice
town of Lençois.
Day 8: Full day birding Chapada
Diamantina.There is a high diversity
of habitats - caatinga, cerrado, campo
rupestre Regional endemics include
Hooded Visorbearer and the recently
described Sincorá Antwren and
Diamantina Tapaculo.
Day 9: Birding Chapada Diamantina part
of the morning and drive to Boa Nova.
The region is home to over 400 bird
species including the restricted Slender
Antbird and Narrow-billed Antwren,
Striated Softtail, Bahia Spinetail, Giltedged
Tanager and several more.

necessary) and transfer (240 Km) to
Serra Bonita Reserve Some of the main
