Day 2 Early leaving to bird the Santa Eulalia Road (840 m to 3700 m / 2,756 ft to 12,139 ft). Night camping in the Santa Eulalia Road. Day 3 Early morning birding the Highlands of the Santa Eulalia road (3700 m to 4700 m / 12,139 ft to 15,420 ft) and in the late afternoon heading to La Oroya (3977 m / 13047 ft) town to check in at basic but clean hotel in La Oroya. Day 4 Early morning leaving La Oroya heading to Junín lake (4080 m / 13,386 ft) for the morning and then birding transfer to Huanuco (1794 m / 5,885 ft), stopping in the way in La Quinua Polylepis forest. Night in Huanuco Hotel. Day 5 Early morning birding the forest along the Carpish tunnel (2700 m / 8,859 ft), depending on weather staying for the entire day or returning to Huanuco to rest and in the afternoon birding the Carpish tunnel area. Night in Huanuco Hotel. Day 6 Early morning birding the Paty trail (2350 m to 1900 m / 7,710 ft to 6,234 ft) depending on weather staying for the entire day or returning to Huanuco to rest and in the afternoon birding the Carpish tunnel area. Night in Huanuco Hotel. Day 7 A repeat of day 6 since the Paty trail is an area well deserving more time. Day 8 Early morning birding the forest in the Carpish tunnel area and later in the morning birding transfer to the Unchog forest (3400 m / 10,200 ft). In the afternoon birding the Unchog forest area. Night camping in Unchog. Day 9 Full day birding the Unchog area. Night caming in Unchog. Day 10 Early morning birding the Unchog area and in the afternoon transfer back to Huanuco with a stop on Paty trail or Carpish tunnel if needed. Night in Huanuco Hotel. Day 11 Early morning leaving back to Lima stoping in the way in the early morning at the La Quinua Polylepis forest. In the afternoon before returning to Lima a stop in the area just above San Mateo.
