WARNINGThe rear pockets are sized to accommodate a maximumof 1.5 kg (3.3 lbs.) of weights each.Refer to your instructor for information about how tomake the most of this feature.USING THE HUB UNDERWATERTo begin the descent, there is no need to raise your left arm aswith traditional BCs: simply press the "OUT" button on the inflatorunit, or operate one of the mechanical quick air dump valves bypulling its cord.During the descent, compensate for the progressive loss ofbuoyancy by pressing the "IN" button with your thumb to inflate theBC.USING THE REGULATORTake the regulator out of the right pocket and put it in your mouth.Pull a sufficient length of hose out of the pocket to permitcomfortable use of the regulator.The hose can be fixed in the desired position using the two slidersof the pocket zip.During the dive, it is possible to vary the length of free hose bypulling out the hose or pushing it back into the pocket. WARNINGFor correct use of the regulator, the hose must bepositioned, into the pocket, as shown in the figure 8.USING THE PRESSURE GAUGE OR CONSOLEOpen the left pocket.Pull out the instrument in order to monitor it.Also in this case, it can be fixed in the desired position using thetwo sliders of the pocket zip.DURING THE ASCENTTo control the speed of ascent, it is necessary to discharge someof the excess air.Use the OUT button, pressing it briefly and repeatedly.In the event of an excessively rapid ascent, a quick air dump canbe made by holding down the OUT button.- 9 WARNINGDuring the ascent, the buoyancy must be adjusted toprevent an excessive rate of ascent near the surface.Consult your instructor or dive manual for moreinformation about a safe rate of ascent. Failure to makea slow, controlled ascent with a safety stop could leadto serious injury or death.USING THE ALTERNATIVE SECOND STAGEOpen the alternative second stage pocket by pulling the yellowknob.Take out the alternative second stage in order to use it.The alternative second stage can be temporarily replaced bypassing the hose inside the special compartment, as shown inphoto 9.- 8 WARNINGDo not use your B/C to lift objects in the water. Shouldyou drop the object, you could become too buoyant andyour rate of ascent could become too rapid andpotentially dangerous. Serious injury or death couldresult.14
ON THE SURFACEAfter returning to the surface, inflate the BC to become positivelybuoyant.BACKPACKUsing a hose, flush fresh water through the inside of the backpack(photo 11). WARNINGThe B/C of your HUB is not a safety jacket or personalfloatation device it is not designed to keep the diver onthe surface in a head up position should he/shebecome unconscious.END OF DIVEAt the end of the dive, close the air valve and purge the residual airfrom the HUB system.Disconnect the first stage, and after rinsing with fresh water andreplace it inside its compartment. WARNINGMake sure that all the residual air in the HUB systemhas been completely discharged before unscrewing theyoke knob.Loosen the tank strap and remove the HUB.Completely discharge the air contained in the BC, by pulling one ofthe mechanical quick air dump valves completely rinse the HUB withfresh water, ensuring that the first stage protection cap is secure.To stow the HUB, fold it over on itself and close the cummerbund.Cross over the quick-release shoulder straps to obtain a morecompact size, (photo 10).HIGH PRESSURE INSTRUMENTTake the pressure gauge/console from the pocket and rinse.- 11BCCheck that there is no water inside the BC.Discharge any water as follows:- fully inflate the BC- position it as shown in photo 12, to allow the water to flow intothe front bag- 10Replace HUB in its bag.MAINTENANCEIn the case of repetitive dives, between one dive and the nextsimply rinse the HUB in fresh water by submerging its bag.To carry out a more thorough maintenance, rinse all thecomponents in fresh water.REGULATOR AND ALTERNATIVE SECOND STAGEIdeally, the equipment should be rinsed in fresh water while it isstill pressurized, as this makes it possible to thoroughly wash thesecond stage without introducing any impurities.If the regulator is not pressurized, do not press the purge buttonduring rinsing.Take particular care, after disassembling the group from the tank,to replace the dust/moisture cap on the first stage prior to rinsing.- 12- turn the BC over so that the mechanical quick air dump valve isfacing downward and discharge the water by pulling the valvecord (photo 13).15
