eGiSTrATiOn On CenSuS FOr FOreiGnerSAll foreigners living in spain can register on the census in themunicipality where they usually live. Foreigners holding a passportwithout a visa or with an expired visa can also register on the census.Registration on the Census takes place at the Oficina d’Atencióal Ciutadà (OAC) of Barcelona City Council on presentation ofthe following necessary documentation:— A document identifying the person applying for registration onthe census: residence permit, passport or identity cardfrom the country of origin.— Document accrediting the address. (see details on page 89).the town/City Council must be informed of any changes in addresswithin the city for the new details to be registered on theCensus.Non-EU foreigners who do not have permanent residence statusmust renew their census registration every two years.93
