Iwas primarily involved within the small arms manufacturing environment executingquality assurance and manufacturing process evaluation.The main emphasis was to ensure the continuous improvement of the overallmanufacturing process within the small arms factory and to ensure that the productionprocess was under statistical process control. I was part of a team ensuring quality,including sample measuring, compiling quality reports/charts, evaluating qualityreports/charts, identifying out of control processes and initiating corrective actions.Studies were undertaken investigating the manufacturing process itself as well asfactory layout; all investigations were aimed at improving the overall manufacturingprocess.Simulations were compiled to assist in the evaluation/improvement process. Isuccessfully developed a simulation (in SLAM) interfacing to a spreadsheetapplication and a project management application whish was utilized for schedulingfinal approval/inspection activities of the small arms factory.
