Nuestro estudio difiere ya que el porcentaje de Cooperia en los tres grupos fue de 35 a 42%, situación que probablemente se debe a diferencia epidemiológica de estas nematodosis entre Zambia y México. En ese estudio Meeus et al., (1997), no encontraron diferencia significativa entre los grupos tratados con moxidectina e ivermectina, sin embargo, en nuestro estudio, interpretado a través del porcentaje de muestras positivas a hpg de NGI si hubo diferencia a los 75 y 150 días. La eficacia profiláctica de moxidectina al 10%, fórmula de larga acción fue probada en Europa Geuden et al., (2004), encontraron 100% de de reducción de hpg contra NGI hasta el día 56, permaneciendo arriba del 90% durante los 168 días del experimento, situación que coincide parcialmente con nuestro estudio. Los mismos autores Geuden et al., (2004) señalan como los principales géneros identificados a Ostertagia, Cooperia y Trichostrongylus, no obstante, en nuestro estudio los géneros con mayor porcentaje fueron Haemonchus, Cooperia y Trichostrongylus, aunque estuvieron presentes en bajo porcentaje Chabertia, Bunostomum Oesophagostomum y Ostertagia, diferencia que se interpreta es debido a las condiciones epidemiológicas de un clima cálido en Etzatlán, Jalisco, México, con uno templado húmedo en Bélgica. En relación a la diferencia en la ganancia de peso en un estudio realizado en Zambia, áfrica, Meeus et al., (1997) notifican que no hubo diferencia estadística en la ganancia de peso en becerros, entre los grupos tratados con moxidectina e ivermectina, el estudio se inició en febrero, principio de la temporada de lluvia, no obstante nuestro estudio se realizó en la temporada de sequía y tampoco hubo diferencia estadística. En conclusión se encontró que el porcentaje de reducción de hpg el día 75, del Grupo 1 (moxidectina) fue mayor al G2 (ivermectina) (P < 0,5), no así en el G3 (levamisol), mientras que el día 150 el porcentaje de reducción de hpg del G1 (moxidectina) fue mayor contra el Grupo 2 (ivermectina) y Grupo 3 (levamisol) (P < 0,05). En relación a la diferencia de peso se encontró diferencia numérica de 5 kg contra el testigo tratado con levamisol y 7 ks contra el grupo 2 tratado con ivermectina, no obstante no fue significativa.
