It provides all the features of the FX05 (Advanced) Controller inan enhanced enclosure design with some new and extended features.The controller has been specifically designed for single and doublecompressor chillers, heat pumps, single circuits, fan coil units, smallclose control units (CCU) and small air handling units (AHU).• It has 17 physical input & output and supports a wide range oftemperature sensors, including active sensors, for the measurement ofhumidity, pressure and other variables, and actuating devices.• This controller has a state-of-the-art LCD display including a set ofgraphic status icons used in the most common HVAC/R applications(two compressor symbols; Alarm, high pressure, low pressure andmaintenance symbols; Heat, cool, defrost and electric heat symbols).• It is available with plug-in communication modules to enable thecontroller to be integrated into an N2 Open or LONWORKS ® compatiblebuilding automation system. In addition the FX06 field controller alsofeatures communications services to transmit event notificationmessages via Short Messaging Service (SMS).• A Real Time Clock circuit supports the start-stop scheduling ofequipment and real time based control sequences.• It is fully programmable or configurable using the FX Tools softwarepackages, for a wide range of commercial environmental controlapplications.• It is suitable for use in normal non-hazardous and non-corrosiveenvironments.Figure 1:Dimensions in mm (inches)FX06 Field Controller - Installation Guide1

Secure it in place by replacing the fixing bracket from theback.WARNING: Use this FX06 Field Controller only as anoperating control. Where failure or malfunction of the FX06could lead to personal injury or damage to the controlledequipment or other property, additional precautions must bedesigned into the control system. Incorporate and maintainother devices such as supervisory or alarm systems or safetyor limit controls that are intended to warn of, or protectagainst, failure or malfunction of the FX06 Field Controller.WARNING: Risk of Electric Shock and Property Damage.Disconnect or isolate all power supplies before makingelectrical connections. More than one disconnect or isolationmay be required to completely de-energize equipment.Contact with components carrying hazardous voltage cancause electric shock and may result in severe personal injuryor death.• Wiring terminations are made by detachable, easy to plug connectors.A pre-assembled set of cables with connectors are provided with mostcontroller models and a set of cables is also available for orderingseparately (see “Ordering Codes”).• Complete the wiring connections and verify that the wiring has beencorrectly installed, and that voltage levels are appropriate for the variousinput signals according to the application.• Keep all cables as short as possible and tie in position.2 FX06 Field Controller - Installation Guide
